mod edit - Changed image to a link. Please shrink your pics down if posting them directly into the thread, thumbnail the image, or just post a link. It throws the page formatting off for most people without monster displays. Thanks.

To anyone interested in the Jaguar desktops, I have mirrored them all here. Yes, the Faux Fur images are there now. I didn't put them there originally because they were hidden away in the "Nature" folder of images.

<a href="http://brad.project-think.com/images/Jag-newdesktops" target="_blank">http://brad.project-think.com/images/Jag-newdesktops</a>

(yes, I've posted this several times, but people still seem to overlook it)

Hold down command-shift-3 and the file should appear on your desktop.

You can also do command-shift-4 to grab a selection or just use the Grab application in OS X (Applications &gt; Utilities &gt; Grab).

make sure its a JPEG file. Im not sure what other (if any) formats it can read to put as desktop.

Also, after you take a screenshot, the file gets saved by default as a TIFF file. If you download TinkerTool (versiontracker.com) you can modify the output format to JPEG as well. Granted its still basically maxxed out jpeg (files are friggen huge) but better than a massive TIFF.

I know he made it, I was sorta wondering if he could put up the 1600x1200 version though, since his site only has up to 1280x1024, or at least I thought that was the highest res he had up there.

And about Transparent Dock, I meant how did he get the the Finder and Sherlock off to the left (with that separator bar) and that time listing that I can only assume is 'uptime'. Is that transparent dock too?

[ 08-07-2002: Message edited by: pyr3 ]</p>
post #110 of 1796
The uptime thing is an app that simple updates its Dock icon with that information, probably <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=12988&db=mac" target="_blank">Cypher</a>.

The divider isn't really a divider. It's a fake app whose icon looks like a divider. There are instructions somewhere around here if you look for them. It's a fairly easy job (and, IMO, does not look very good in person).

The uptime app is something called Vanity Dockling, check versiontracker.com..

as for the dividers, I downloaded them from someones site, and I've been searching MacNN for it, but I can't find it.. It might have gotten lost..

BTW, with a transparent dock, they look sweet, if you don't overdo it.. it opens up the dock a lot more.. heres a pic of my dock without them.. I prefer a couple of them..

<a href="http://www3.telus.net/~agramsay/crapdock.jpg" target="_blank"></a>

sorry about the dividers, keep looking you will come across them..
