Does anyone else think that some of the more newer (2 or 3) Simpsons episodes are lacking? The halloween episode was a let down for me. I still like the series though.

yeah, the last few season haven't been as edgy about issues and political correctness as the show was earlier. Still funny though

I'll go with the no real people theme:

    Courage The Cowardly Dog

    Duckman

    Family Guy

Uh, since I don´t have a tv I have to base on the few occations I see tv and what I can download from the net:

    Futurama

    Futurama

    Futurama

    Futurama

    Futurama

Why people still like Simpsons but don´t mention Futurama I don´t understand. Last time I laughed watching Simpsons was the "Bart tries to jump over grand canyon on skateboard" and that was only the last three minutes of that show. And that was back in the beginning of the 90´s

Frasier (I'm a psychology grad student)

The Simpsons (social psychology out the wazzo)

    Friends (cheap, mindless laughter)

    and my current fave:

Malcolm in the Middle. Great show if you've never seen it. Every one of the cast can act and act well. Makes me look forward to Sunday nights.

After watching Babylon 5 all the way through for the 5th time Sci-Fi channel's gotten me hooked on Farscape which airs conveniently afterwards. And it grows a heavier story arc as the show progresses...

    Also of note:

    * West Wing

    * Seinfeld

    * Red Dwarf

And yes I liked Sports Night, even though it was only on for 2 seasons...

I know one other person that liked that show.

    Top 5:

Northern Exposure (before it got too weird)

    ER (its first few years)

    Friends

Seinfeld (although the reruns do nothing for me)

Star Trek: The Next Generation (Third season and after. The first two seasons sucked.)

    Honorable mention:

    The X-Files

    Law & Order

Twin Peaks (before it got too weird)

    The Sopranos

Mary Tyler Moore (still hilarious after 25 years)

    The Simpsons

SportsNight -- I loved that show!

Who from the first list watch something from the second list?

    1. Babylon 5 (1st to half way through the 3rd season)

    2. This hour has 22 minutes (before Mercer quit, Mercer was the man. Who else would have the balls to go up to Bush talking about Prime Minister Putine from Canada only to have Bush respond by saying "Im sure that Mr. Poutine has the best intrests of his country at heart". Supposedly Bush thought that Canada was out ot get him after that, Mercer responded by saying "he's right")

    3. The Simpsons

    4. Junkyard Wars (HIGHLY original)

    5. The original Animated Tick (not this new POS from Fox)

if you count miniseries make these 1&2 and bump the rest down:

    1. The Maxx

    2. Cowboy Beebop

    That are still on:

    Battlebots

    Junkyard Wars

    Enterprise

    NYPD Blue

Spin City (Paul looks like Michael Dell or vice versa)

(damn, I watch too much tv lately I think)

    Honorables:

    Simpsons

    Young Ones

    Seinfeld

    Family Ties

    Cosby Show

    Cheers

    Aeon Flux

and all the classic greats - Scooby Doo, M*A*S*H, Star Trek, Giligans Island etc...

The shows I watch a lot of currently aren't necessarily my all time faves.
