Well that would be an exercise in futility. It's obvious that Jesus was a communist, and as such would be in favor of welfare.

Umm, that is not said, proven or otherwise known. Sure, you can try to pin a political agenda or party to him based on your reading of scripture, but you would all be wrong. Jesus clearly stated what he believed and stood for, and it was not any government agenda. He was not a part of any political party. NONE. His kingdom is not of this world. But since this is not a religion thread I will leave it at that.

And I like it how liberals are always seen as anti-getting a job or working hard. Ya that's it, just because I think that welfare is a good cause I am anti-working hard. It is easy for conservatives to talk about getting a job when so many of them are born into upper and upper-middle class to begin with. </strong><hr></blockquote>

Boy somebody peed in your Wheaties this morning.

BTW: you cannot just come up with a missile defense shield that work right out of the box, there is a thing called research and time that is required to make it work. Oh, and those things cost something called money. The defense shield is coming along. Give it time. Now that people are finally starting to take it seriously we may see something come of it in the next couple of years or so.

And as for the last part of your statement, see the first part of mine. I was not born to any upper-class whatever. Look at the republicans and the democrats, conservatives and Liberals. There is not one side that is richer than the other. It is just portrayed that way. Class warfare is so stupid that it makes me sick.

Holy shyt! This quickly got a lot bigger than I thought it would. hehe

You know, I call myself a liberal, but I find myself thinking more and more on the conservative. Perhaps the old maxim applies. If you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart; if you're not a conservative when you get older, you have no head. (I'm pretty sure I mangled that quote, but the gist is right)

Are you telling me that the Republican agenda doesn't benefit the rich more than that of the Democrats? You ever heard of the Death Tax? Why do you think that the majority of poor minorities are democrats? The democratic party does support lower and middle class citizens better than the Republicans do and I personally think that that is very clear. But I am sure you think differently because appartly this topic makes you sick

I am puking as we speak. Good on you Democrats for being so sensitive to those poor peoples needs. I know you do it from the goodness of your hearts as we Republicans really could care less. In fact, I think I will go out and take a leak on the next bum I see. That'll teach him for not having any money.
