World's greatest desktop speakers

I just bought a pair of M-Audio AV40's: incredible. The shipped cost was about $140.

I have a 5:1 setup in the other room of mixed JBL and Klipsch components -- which cost me something like $1300 -- and the clarity on the AV40's is noticeably superior. If you are in the desktop speaker market, you must check these out. Even at lower volumes, hearing old music is like hearing it for the first time.

I don't have my computer room setup to take advantage of 5.1 but I bought Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 which is THX certified. I replaced a previous generation ProMedia 2.1 and I gotta say I'm glad I did. They're really great for 2.1 sound and I noticed an incredible difference immediately. Would definitely by them again if these died

I have a pair of M-Audio BX5a's that are great when paired with M-Audio's Fast Track Pro... trying to switch to a ProFire 610 but the driver is a little behind... I record at 192 but some apps won't play at 192, so I have the FastTrack for output at whatever they throw.

Desktop speakers don't have to be made out of the actual desk.
