In every case I've seen where people complain about battery eating, they always admit to leaving the mouse and keyboard on while away from the computer.

Thanks for the advice. On the other hand, my brother has a wireless keyboard and mouse (not bluetooth) and the batteries last much longer. He did have trouble with a Microsoft combo because of what I think you are saying, they don't turn off when idle. But whatever he has now, the batteries last months. I get about 3 weeks with the mouse and 6 weeks with the keyboard. I am not going to shut stuff down when away from my iMac. Instead, I'd rather fault Apple for not doing their job in the first place. If not for the $100 cost, I would have returned to USB already. My bluetooth stuff doesn't match up properly with W7RC in BootCamp, and the scroll wheel does not work. Most Linux software can't match up with my keyboard, so I am stuck using VirtualBox. Hate me if you want, but my next computer purchase is going to be PC. While I like what the Mac can do, I am fed up with what it can't, and blame Apple for most of it.
