in General Discussion edited January 2014
After browsing around Screensavers site I found this in the site of the whatever archive. I cant even think of a word to describe it you just have to <a href=";sid=2001/12/2/42056/2147"; target="_blank">read it</a> first.

1. Any person that did not have to use AOL would not use AOL. Broadband or AOL <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

2. <a href=""; target="_blank">-Comet Cursor</a> THATS A HACKER PROGRAM I SWEAR!

-<a href=""; target="_blank">Bonzi Buddy</a> Maybe this monkey knows more then the author of this article.

-Flash do I really need to?

3. If AMD's Chips are made in sweet shops, then ppc chips are made by the wankas under Steve Jobs desk.

4. Just pick one, there all novels I think.

5. 45 minutes, on AOL, with a Compaq, running windows, and a monkey in my face! I'LL TALK!!!

6. Oh god, I have Quake!

7. NO DAMN IT, I'LL ...... PING YOU!

8. Lunix ............ ITS LINUX DAMN IT!!!!, oh there I go again, eh... I'll go play quake.

9. pacifiers? really? PACIFIERS? I must not be "with it" anymore.

10. My favorite "In extreme cases, over-exposure to computer radiation can cause schizophrenia, meningitis and other psychological diseases." Meningitis is the inflammation of the tissues which cover the brain and spinal cord. Most cases in the UK and Ireland are caused by bacteria or viruses. So clean that keyboard you hackers!

This guy got FLAMED at the comments part. I'm just taking all with a grain of salt.

That was so far off base that anyone who thought it was real is actually quite gullible. One of my favorite lines:

[quote]If you see the word "LILO" during your windows startup (just after you turn the machine on), your son has installed lunix. In order to get rid of it, you will have to send your computer back to the manufacturer, and have them fit a new hard drive. Lunix is extremely dangerous software, and cannot be removed without destroying part of your hard disk surface. <hr></blockquote>

    Hahahahahahaaaaa! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

LOL! It's a total riot. Especially the parts about AMD and Lunix. The accompanying poll is funny, too.

A lot of the links are amusing. You could accumulate a colorful library if you bought all the books he singles out. It's just sad to see how many people don't get a joke.

I thought the article was moderately funny. Your reaction was funnier, albeit rather hard to read and tiring on my poor old eyes.

are we sure that this article was a joke ?

This article is totally stupid (the best : AMD the chip of hacker ), but it's not a proof that the person who write this was joking

Reading the introduction of the article dealing with be good parents, i find it artificial.

Is somebody know if the author of this article finish to say that it was a joke ?

In Us is there is a law against diffamation ? In this case, AMD Cormack, and linux should make money ...

There's no protection against defamation in satire.

If you check out the links, it's an obvious joke.
