    Hold the phone (pun intended).

Are you saying that for 150 miles of I-15 you didn't even have EDGE or GPRS? 150 miles of 0 bars? Really?

Or are you just saying you had 150 miles of EDGE? Because that's an entirely different kettle of fish.

I'm saying exactly what I posted. In a thread about 3G upgrade, I am announcing an important area that has no 3G coverage. Yes that means it has EDGE coverage. However again if you've seen Vegas and how many people drive to it on a given weekend, you know that it is ridiculous to not have the freeway running to it covered in 3G.

However don't worry. Verizon with their latest bit of evil have broken their last straw even with me. Their new "You've got a phone with more than a VGA camera so pay for data" plans are intolerable to me. I've got a smartphone but the wife and two kids are looking at feature phones and I'm not going to pony up an extra $30 a month just so they can have a decent phone. I've been a customer since 2001 and we have one line left under contract. If not in the middle of an iPhone cycle, I'd be at AT&T signing a new contract today. However I want to see what Apple does. Also T-mobile has such good pricing as well and the same coverage in our area as AT&T (hell likely better than AT&T.) Two smartphone plans and two kid phones sharing the minutes and messaging is only $130 a month from T-mobile and I love the fact that I can buy my phones and stop paying for a subsidy in my cell plan.

Hey man you're SC, me too. I'm in Cola. You know if the AT&T in Cola is any good, like good voice without dropping and fast 3G?
