Not exactly, they just have to be the majority, because if Israel ceases to have a Jewish majority (say the Arab population becomes the majority) then there would be an election to remove the Jewish character of the state.
Then it would simply become another Arab state.
I don't have a problem with Arabs living in Israel, just as long as they aren't the majority which would decide to end Israel.
powerdoc asked if what i said was true earlier, and yes, I read somewhere (can't remember where) but yeah, something like what I said.
Personally, I find it quite ironic because it was the far right political/religious (read christian) that tried to exterminate the Jewish people and now they support them in their own state. But unfortunetly their support has nothing to do with the Jewish people, but as an attempt to make their biblical prophesy come true.
Supposedly, we're within 50 years of it coming true (if it does.) Maybe we'll find out in our lifetimes if all this is true.
I love democracy too! just as long as my party has the absolute majority!
If the other side gets elected, then I'll have to rethink the whole demcracy issue... <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

I agree with that.
Palestinians breed like rabbits, its a matter of demographic survival. Also, the Russians bring needed scientific skills.............................
