You forgot to mention that it should not be heated in the microwave and should not be used in the bath - even when it's not charging via the USB cable.
These are both really useful pieces of information, I don't know how you could have overlooked them.
They should not be used as a WiiFit interface and stood on, nor should they be used as frisbees in the backyard. Also it is inadviseable to use them as drink or hors d'ouvres trays, or as a surface to cut pizza on. You may be able to use them as a low temp bedwarmer however, a nightlight too, if the battery runs low - you can still use the glass as a larger reflective light source to flash over-flying aircraft in case you have crashed landed in an isolated location without a radio or iPhone.
However it is not advised that it be used as a seat warmer at outdoor athetic events, as a substitute for the regular controls in your vehicle (even if you DO have the Need for Speed game loaded on it). Also,
You could not, would not, in a house.
You would not, could not, with a mouse.
You would not use it with a fox.
You would not use it in a box.
You would not use it here or there.
You would not use it anywhere.
You would not use the Apple iPad.

Not of course directed at you KiltedGreen, but an expansion on your thoughts for the nay-sayers.
When I bought my 27" iMac i7 it was shipped from China and you could follow its progress via the tracking number. Does anyone have a clue whether the iPads scheduled for 3 April delivery will be shipped directly from China or whether they'll already in country?
Looking forward to delivery on Saturday. My credit card has the charges for my iPad pending as of 3/25. I was looking at buying a Kindle but the iPad came to the rescue. My first use is to replace my Sony e-reader. Otherwise I will just see how I end up using it.

A variation on my earlier question. Since some people are apparently already seeing charges on their credit or ATM cards and others are not, it seems probable that they are shipping from somewhere in the US. I'm going to guess California, if only because I haven't seen any activity on my card yet and I'd expect those orders to be shipped last for April 3 delivery.

I didn't pre-order since I have no plans at this time to get one. Were you notified that you would be sent a shipment notice with a tracking number when your ordered shipped?

I'm still seeing "delivers 4/3" on my order status. According to the Order Acknowledgment, "Once your item ships from our warehouse, you will receive a Shipment Notification email with carrier and tracking information."
I don't suppose anyone has seen a tracking number yet, but some are showing preauthorizations on their credit or ATM cards.
