Can Bush win with you people? If he didn't impose a tariff then you would be bitching that he isn't protecting American jobs.
And HELLO: America MUST produce steel. Foreign steel is something we absolutely cannot afford to become dependent on. I would go so far as to say it is a national security issue. You know what a lot of our weapons are made of, right? This is also why we have to drill Anwar while looking for other energy sources. We can't become or continue to be dependent on other countires for such critical things.
I support this one, though I usually favor free trade. Temporarily, it is the right thing. Steel needs a chance to get back on its feet. And anyone who thinks he only did it for the votes is a fool. I'm sure he will pick up some. Call me naive, but I don't think Bush is more interested in votes than he is in doing what he thinks is right (though it is a safe assumption that he knows the political consequences of his actions).
<strong>he he, i was in Madison at the time. i think Madison WI was one of the highest, if not the highest turnout for Nadar. i really didn't mind Nadar, he's a smart guy, and i don't think he's sold out, but he has some conflicting ideas as to how things work.

If you're refering to me, I voted for Harry Browne, just for the hell of it. Since the two areas I live in are heavily Democrat, it's silly to vote for a major party anyway.

I am very anti-Nader. I'm pro free trade.
