Beleaguered Apple manages to sell 1.4M Macs in US to capture 8% market share

I seem to remember a time when "Beleaguered" was always paired with "Apple"

    My how times have changed.

    The IDC table is wrong.

You have the same market share figures, Q1 2009, as the Gartner table.

    Correct figures are here:http://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS22298510

So what if they lost marketshare? That has nothing to do with unit sales, revenue, operating profit, net profit, or the marketshare in the segments in which Apple chooses to compete in. Do you not realize that most PCs sold make razor margins, that netbooks are included in PC sales, or that Apple has a monopoly of the $>1000 market segment, and makes a reported 35% of the profit for the entire PC market worldwide?
