Me trusting or not trusting THEM (*screams in the distance*) has absolutely nothing to do with the proliferation of hard drugs in the medical community.
Your point has merit, but it's over-the-top, as stated above. Do try and stay on subject.
I fear that this isn't going to be my only post to this thread because I'm going to have to defend myself, but:
I've seen fairly convincing proof that legalizing drugs as well as shifting how many billions of $ we're wasting in Colombia to education programs on the harmfulness of drugs, we would at once reduce the crime rate a lot as well as reduce the number of drug users and related sickness resulting from drug use.

How woul you do this? I mean you would still have to PAY for drugs... they'd just be legal. Junkies would still have to steal so they could buy their next fix. Unless they're stock brokers. Legalizing is not the answer. Never was, never will be. Decriminalizing abusers and better treatment is.

Have you seen the opium poppies springing back up again in Afghanistan? These plants are not diificult to grow. Most drugs are like weeds in their right environment... they become expensive when people try to grow them hydroponically. Ecstacy costs next to nothing even with all the hassle of making and distributing it illegally. we could keep most of the population stoned/high... comatose for a very modest outlay. I dont think costs the real issue. If it was we'd be checking more carefully wher our 'War against drugs' taxes were being spent a little more carefully.

Stopping the War On Drugs would save western governments billions, which could be far better spent on improving the quality of life

<strong>Outsider always wondered why the Blue Meanie speaks of himself in the 3rd person... It's mighty odd.</strong><hr></blockquote>
The Blue Meanie thinks Outsider's comment is something of a non-sequitur. Aren't we talking about drugs here?
PS - If you look carefully, you might find the odd post where The Blue Meanie uses the dreaded word 'I'

Indeed she does. Well, did. I'm pretty sure she's dead. Drugs or something. What a coincidence. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

<strong>Oh God why won't you let this thread die!? <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" /> </strong><hr></blockquote>
Sorry, mate, I've been away for a week. There's nothing forcing you to keep reading this thread if it's such a pain
