With the HW being the same since the 2007 release and older the original iPhone, which is no longer updated, I'd say there is absolutely no way this will be supported on the next AppleTV. On top of that, the current AppleTV is x86 while iOS only supports ARM, at least on released products. At most, we may get an update to the current AppleTV OS to support some features, but I think that is it.

    Two things:

    1. I hope this results in a "clamshell iPad" with k/b, doing away with the need for an Intel based Air.

    2. I am really chuffed I predicted the way multitasking appears to be delivered using the bottom bar for the live apps.

    p.s. Imagine a "retina display" iPad...waaaaaaaah.

Lack of 3G could also be a reason. And remember, we're talking abut upGRADES, not upDATES.

    QFT!

I am amazed at the things people complain about. No other phone ha come to offer 3 years of rich updates and now that's not even good enough for some.

Why are the chances the T-Mobile G1 will get an update to Android "Froyo" 2.2?

Apple's been a target for as long as I can remember. First it was because they were small, and it seemed easy to pick on them, and their users. Now it's because they're large and people are ticked they're doing so well. It's too bad.
