<strong>#1: Cut it off before the guitar riff?? Weak!</strong><hr></blockquote>
Heh heh. It's one of those big "guitar" bands too -- think jackhammer riffs and a few years ago.
#3: "Come As You Are" - It's either some alternate/live version by Nirvana or off some tribute album (The Vibrators, maybe?)
You're on the right track, but it's a trick. "Come As You Are" is not the first time that riff was used (in other words, Nirvana ripped it off from this song). #6 is closely related, but more recent (recorded in one guy's garage studio, perhaps this is the "ass" sound you were referring to.)
#4: Very familiar
Hint: Requiem for a Dream
#9: "The Disappionted"?
Yes! I had to dig for that one. A lot more people know XTC than will usually admit to it.
Is this a bunch of bad covers or something? I swear I place almost all these beats but they sound like ass.
Some have been covered, or are inspired by stuff like horror movies, disco and the like. Admittedly, what started as something I thought would be more familiar turned into obscure stuff again. Basically, everyone I know thinks I have the absolute worst taste in music. Even the "techno" fans. :0

Oh yeah, I remember the lawsuit (Nirvana won, I think)
I don't know 11 or 14. 12 is "Shiny Happy People" by REM*. 13 is "Sabotage" by the Beasty Boys.
"Come As You Are" is the same riff in 2/4 time instead of 4/4. I wasn't even aware of any lawsuit actually, I just know those guys liked Geordie's guitars.
* bonus point: the guest female vocalist is Kate Piersen of the B-52s, another Athens, GA native.

I only got Imagine by John Lennon (duh!) and that damn Linkin Park tune.
I'm sure I heard your first selection about a million times back in school. My mom drove us to school on her way to work every morning and he commandeered the radio.
Damn I had a feeling #14 on Groverat's list was Primus, but now no one will ever believe me.

Well, it's the theme from the awesome show on UPN entitled Enterprise. ****ed if I know who sung it.
So that's the theme song for Enterprise! I was racking my brain trying to think of what cheesy 80's action show it must be from. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

NOTE: All songs except for #1 are under 100k, and should start immediately on a 56k modem. They were encoded for streaming.
<a href="http://homepage.mac.com/graphiteman/aintt/AINTT1.mov" target="_blank">A tough one. Straight off the record.</a>
<a href="http://homepage.mac.com/graphiteman/aintt/AINTT2.mov" target="_blank">This should be very easy.</a>
