Not really. Ted was very anti-technology. That is usually more of a right wing christian phenomenon.</strong><hr></blockquote>

For the love of Mike! Kaczynski was not a right wing Christian.

So? You were just trying to muddy the waters by associating his beliefs with fundamentalist Christianity. Have you read Al Gore's "Earth in the Balance"? He too has a big problem with technology at times. Does that mean that Al Gore is in favor of blowing up people with letter bombs? No. It does mean that Kaczynski's writings are not hostile to the thinking of those on the left.

Can we just agree to do the following?

Refrain from calling this guy an extreme right politician?

    Le Pen = Extreme Right

    He was no Le Pen.

Not make this a bash the American liberals thread?

There are a lot of threads to discuss American politics. We don´t need another one.

Finally, not nitpick at silly details?

Obviously, no one is JUST an environmentalist. You have a vote and you use it or choose not to use it. But everybody in the end has an opinion and a political belief. Anarchism is also a form of politics.

They are currently looking in to another murder on a hunting inspector a few years ago. This guy may very well be connected to the whole thing.

The point that should be understood, and should be the main point of discusion, is that there is no justifying these kind of actions. For over a decade the Dutch press have been doing their best to dig up as much dirt on the extreme right in Holland as possible. Forgetting about the extreme left. Which, during those years, has repeatedly attacked the extreme right in a violent matter.

The obvious excuse then was that these extreme right organisations are a threat to minorities, the environment and so on so they should be attacked. No. They should be fought, not attacked. And people should understand that the so called activists are terrorists in their own way. Even a guy like LePen, and the people who vote for him, have the democratic right to have their opinion on what is good for their country.

If you don´t like that, debate them. Fact of the matter is, the extreme left is as intolerant and dangerous in it´s ways as is the extreme right.

A friend of mine said the other day, if you see politics as a horseshoe communism and facism are not far apart. I think that pretty much sums it up.

On my earlier points. I respect everyone´s opinion but let´s stick to the point eh?
