Daredevil-The Movie...
Next to Spider-Man, the Daredevil was my other comic book fave. If you don't know...Daredevil (Matt Murdock) was blinded by a radio-active isotope that flew off a truck (how convenient). and through personal crisis became a crime fighter. The powers were super physical strength and hyper sensory perception.
Well, I just found <a href="http://www.usatoday.com/life/enter/movies/2002/2002-05-16-daredevil.htm" target="_blank">an article</a> with a pic of the costume. That's Ben Affleck who'll be be starring as the hero. One of the villains he will be fighting is Elektra (Alias' Jennifer Garner!).
After seeing Spider-man (for the third time) I'm excited to see that Daredevil will be treated the same way. Hopefully the script will be good too. With Ben Affleck in the lead role I hope that his friend Kevin Smith (he has written scripts for Daredevil comics) will give him some tips.
It is great that finally there are producers and directors in Hollywood that are treating comic book characters faithfully.
What next comic book hero do you wish to see on the silver screen? I would like to see if Thor or Iron Man are in the works...

No. Nicholas Cage wouldn't stoop to play a minor role in a film...but maybe a starring role if Ghost Rider does make it onto film. Remember, he was slated to play Superman (script written by Kevin Smith) but he dropped it.
Another dream movie...the comic book character "Kabuki"...directed by Ang Lee or John Wu...keep dreaming...
Fantastic Four: coming in 2003
<strong>Yeah I saw he wasn't mentioned in the linked article. All of my information I got from my sister who heard it on TV yesterday. Maybe Cage is playing Ghost Rider in another movie... did Ghost Rider ever fight Thor or the Fantastic Four?</strong><hr></blockquote>
Knowing Marvel in the '70's...yeah. Remember Marvel's comic "Marvel Team-Up"? They had their hero line-up join forces all the time. Great way to increase circulation on a lagging comic character.
After the embarrassments of Fantastic Four, Captain America and the Punisher I'm happy that Marvel has gotten a clue as to how their characters should be treated on screen.
Bringing up Captain America...that could be redeemed again...without the rubber ears of course...
Oh..and he was a bit of a moody sod as well.
<strong>This has bugged me for some time.....Who was the guy in The Avengers that could control the density of his body? I remember that he was green and forever switched between being like a vapour and a diamond.

That moody sod's name was the Vision...
<a href="http://www.toonopedia.com/vision2.htm" target="_blank">More on him here...</a>
Another comic/movie dream...Vampirella. I heard there is/was a movie in the works...but I guess that went straight to video...I'll have to search Google for that...
I hope it does well, but I'm afraid non-comic fans see him as a poor man's Wallcrawler.
I'll be first in line opening night, though!
I would love a GOOD Cap movie, but I suspect his abilities wouldn't be visually interesting enough for current audiences.
I can't wait for FF, each character has the potential to be kick butt with today's tech, especially Human Torch.
What a great time to be a comics fan!
Jeff
That's him...thank you I can die fulfilled. I still dont remember him being called that though..when can you start to get Alzheimers?
anyway, also heard tom cruise for the role of tony stark in iron man. whether that was legit, or just some fanboy's dream, i can't recall.
can't wait for the hulk with ang lee directing.. but if hulk starts dancing on the rooftops, i'm outta there!
<strong>FYI: I have heard for the longest time that there is a script being thrown back and forth for Iron Man, but everyone's been edgy as to whether they could get enough butts in the seats to pay for the special effects. i think they were waiting on spider-man (as were lots of other comic-book based scripts) to see if a comic movie could get the serious cash.

Iron Man is in developement hell. Just like Spider-Man was for years. Supposedly the producer of the TV show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was involved but left to pursue another TV series. Thing is, with the advances of all the CGI out there it can be done easily. Just need a good script and a cast that will work.
Some more pics and news...

Don't like Elektra's costume (why always BLACK leather?). Same with Bullseye...a bullseye scar?!!!
Jeff
<strong>Speaking of black, has a different Kingpin been added to the book since I stopped reading?
Jeff</strong><hr></blockquote>
No, he's always been white in the comic book. This is just another Hollywood ploy. Burton did it with Harvey Dent (played in the first movie by Billy Dee Williams and then in Batman Forever by Tommy Lee Jones???). Stupid...especially if a sequel is in the works...
Also I'm not too happy about Jennifer Garner playing Elektra. I believe originally Elektra was Southeast Asian or Polynesian...and the black costume? Guess two red costumes wouldn't work (Daredevil's is Maroon)? Whatever, I would have cast maybe Kelly Hu instead...
Dunno, this will have to be a wait and see flick for me... <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
I, for one, would love to see the Hand in DD2...
<strong>Elektra was Greek...

Ah, thank you. I stand corrected... <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
Did his white skin add anything to his character. I could understand the outrage at making Kingpin a homosexual thin guy with a soft disposition, but come on, let's not be nerds.
<strong>Black Kingpin, white Kingpin.... who gives a shit? Well, apparently you do, but why? Did his white skin add anything to his character. I could understand the outrage at making Kingpin a homosexual thin guy with a soft disposition, but come on, let's not be nerds.</strong><hr></blockquote>

I don't give two shits! It's Hollywood that's whacked. Why cast an african american actor, then re-cast the character with a white man in the sequal?
There isn't a concrete origin of him, so almost anyone can play him.
Don't forget, too, that we're gonna see X-Men II in the near future.
I think that the reason the movies are getting better is that more comic people (Stan Lee, the Dark Night guy) are involved in the process.
