Gotta say a nice 26+ ounce Porterhouse (filet on one side, new york on the other)

Of course the reverse would be a Porterhouse made out of poop. POOP!

favorite: corned beef and cabbage.... omigodness do I love that stuff.... with carrots and onions and potatoes.... great stuff

I also love a rack of bbq ribs when they're done right. A top sirloin is good too. I really appreciate a good cabernet and a nice top sirloin steak goes the best with that.

    least favorite: liver

In my experience, English cooking is awful! I was in the UK last summer, I stayed in a little guesthouse somewhere in Cornwall for a few days...the people there were so amazingly friendly, but had no clue about cooking, specially vegetables! I don't think the word "steamer" is in the culinary vocabulary of England, certainly not where I went...vegetables were invariable blasted to oblivion, boiled, boiled and boiled some more until they became a mush of tasteless glop, ewwwww...yuk!

The 'full English breakfast'....now thats quite an ordeal ...I ordered one the first morning I was there...and I got enough food for about 15 people: a monstrous bowl of cereal, followed by this totally massive 'fry-up' on a plate the size of a tractor wheel; 2 thick rounds of fried bread with a fried egg on one, and a pile of scrambled eggs on the other, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms, 3 fried sausages, a pile of fried potatoes cut into circles, a huge pile of baked beans, fried bacon, and a chunk of dark salami-like stuff called 'black-pudding', and the whole thing was a quarter-inch deep in grease! YUK! Now American size portions are often on the large size...but this was way, way beyond ridiculous. I am vegetarian, so much of the dish was 'out of bounds' and as I tackled the scrambled eggs region..(actually that part was nice, but it was all I managed!).. the waitress returned with a rack of 6 slices of toast, a dish of butter and a jar of marmalade, saying "if you want any more, dear, just let me know" and off she bustled to help more customers. As I am only used to eating a slice of toast and a coffee for breakfast, I ate about 10% of what was served up...and I was so full I could barely move for the rest of the morning !</strong><hr></blockquote>

The best breakfast i have take was at the Marriot Hotel in San Diego in 1992 during the america cup. The way that the chief cooked the potatoes was great. But the one of the worse thing was the seafood, i order scallop one of my favorite meal, unfortunately it was deep fry, all the taste of the seafruit was removed , just replaced by the taste of the fry : best way to ruin the best thing.

Usually i did not eat many things at breakfast but sometimes at holiday when i wake up light i like to have great breakfast.

    Favorite eats:

    sushi

    spanish tapas

    pizza

    fresh bread with butter

but nothing quite satisfies that carbo-craving like pasta

as for non-favorites, I guess I'd lean toward not much liking anymore the fast food that I used to dig. It just doesn't sit very well.

    Fave:

    Soft shell crab

    Only at gunpoint:

    tripe

I agree with groverat; American cuisine is sadly overlooked. Although, this is changing. <a href="http://www.stylenetwork.com/Shows/Nigella/"; target="_blank">Nigella Lawson</a> frequently cooks "Amurrican" and show some US cookbooks as being the last word.

    Faves:

Breakfast- Indian leftovers one day old...somehow a night fermenting in the fridge makes Saag Chicken taste so much better.

Lunch- Pie'n'mash (with liqour of course).

Evening meal- (im discounting Indian 'cos I had it for breakfast...but thats the only reason)

White bait, lots of lemon and black pepper followed by some pasta, spaghetti perhaps, a garlic and extra virgin olive oil sauce, parmesan and flat leaf parsley on top and some fresh baked crusty bread.

Can't eat (miss desperatly) soft boiled eggs.

My favorite is definitely Indian food if it is prepeared well. I think it will be the next food to become popular. Japanese had the advantage of being healthy. Thai became popular largely because people were used to Chinese and wanted to try something different. Indian food has no advantages and smells a little weird if you're not used to it. But it is becoming more popular simply because it is so good.

Any food can be really great if well prepared. Even simple things like chicken salad, stuffing, or keilbasa can be amazing if done right. A lot of foreigners and even Americans themselves don't realize that there really is such a thing as American cuisine.

Oh, and the food I don't like is Vietnamese except for the most Americanized things. It can be kinda weird.

Fave: Rib Eye steak, medium rare, with a few skewers of grilled, garlic shrimp thrown in.

Reverse: An overcooked Rib Eye. Nothing worse than ruining a great steak...

Cucumbers are actually a fruit... anything that has seeds in it are a fruit (made so animals would eat it and spread the seeds farther away from the plant then the wind could...)

as for my favorate eats... I will eat (taste) anything once... and I usually like it... the only thing i really dont like very much is anything too chewey (although that can be a good thing at times) I just dont like having to work too hard to get something down... as for my faves, you gotta go with anything italian (aldente pasta cannot be beat, esp w/a good sauce) not only pasta tho... veal, chicken, fish... and the obligatory pizza...

    seafood is also very good...

Nuts are also very good. You guys dont like pistachios? peanuts? walnuts? what is the matter with you?!
