Interesting that he will chair the finance committe while that worthless Bill Campbell, ex-CEO of Intuit sits around and collects a paycheck. Why is Campbell still on the board?

All boards are pretty much old boys clubs. The rich getting richer by doing less and less. Would be nice if some actual workers were on the board, or a member selected from a corps of non-partisan watchdogs especially trained and vetted for this purpose. The President should form a "Board Corps" for this purpose. Retired newsmen or accountants might be fertile recruiting grounds.

My beef isn't just with conservatives either. It pisses me off that stars and celebrities won't even show up unless they get outrageously expensive free gift bags. Yeah, like they really need free stuff.

Thank you for bearing with my morning rant. I feel so much better now.

Are you talking about the President of the USA, who went to Harvard Law and taught at the University of Chicago, or the half term governor from Alaska who quit her job when it was too hard.

Some of us do have standards.

Sounds like an excellent choice. Wasn't there another open board position to fill?

Didn't want to start a partisan political fight, but if the shoe fits . . .

Exactly, bloody weapons manufacturer. Have to say I am uncomfortable with that.
