Paul.... don't be a hypocrite. You know that you love nothing more than posting about how liberals are sissifying American and we're all going to moral hell and such.
Take your lumps.

I don't think I've ever considered anyone "sissifying" anything. I think there is a certain mindet, philosophy or segment of the population that I don't agree with in how they see the world, the nation, politics, entertainment, popular culture, etc.
I post things that I find funny, amusing or - in some cases - maddening and nuts. Things I see in the news or sports or whatever.
If it just so happens that a Ted Kennedy or Barbra Streisand is the subject/focus of the story, that's not my fault.
I seem to recall posting a few things that reflected badly on Bush, Buchanan, Liddy, Limbaugh, conservative talk radio (boring and beaten to death), the GOP, John McCain, Oliver North, etc.
I'm an equal opportunity basher. In my world, everyone, regardless of political stripe, has the opportunity to be an idiot.
I've ragged on more conservatives than some of the liberals here have ragged on members of "their team".

Forgive me on not being specific, she may not be defending her material well, but she is selling books. She may only be selling to right-wingers, but those right-wingers need to know her book exists somehow. So her tv appearances, whether she defends herself well or not, is still a free ad to someone in her target audience.

First you say she's doing a terrible job of promoting her book and now you say you agree? first you say Al Gore kicked Bush's ass in a presidential debate you later say Bush held his own in? You mugwumpishly contradict yourself faster than most politicians, sheesh.

I apologize for my lack of clarity. While watching the debate with my family, I thought "Gore seriously kicked Bush's ass." Yet, network news declared that Bush simply holding his own was enough to "tie" the debate. I think Bush paled in comparison to Gore, and that news declaration seriously messed Gore up. I mean how do you deal with the fact that Americans lend more credence to the other candidate- almost regardless of what he says?
Concerning Ann Coulter, I can allow myself a certain degree of contradiction. As far as simply promoting the existence of her book, I think she does a good job when only considering her many tv appearances. However, I think she does a terrible job of promoting her book's content. Show me one appearance where a portion of the book's content is criticized and she actually directly responds to that criticism. Every time that I have seen her she continues this weird brand of snobby obstinence regarding any critique of her book. That is just bad promoting in my book. (and no, BuonRotto, I didn't write a book )
My favorite part of any of the debates was Gore "stepping up" to GeeDub while Dubya was talking... hilarious. By Dubya's reaction you could see who would kick who's ass, and at the end of the day, isn't that the one you want as president?
(Anyone got a video clip of that?)
A close second, that horribly disturbing "kiss" between Gore and Tipper.
You're right. That wasn't exactly a winning move by Gore. I can't figure you out Groverat. You seem more centrist than Mr. "slightly right of center" himself, Pscates.

Join the club, I'm the president.
I'm fairly moderate, I try not to take sides on anything but issues and I'll change my mind on some stances when compelled. Makes me a pain in the ass to debate.
Actually, I think groverat is a bit right of center (in the McCain style of Republican) and pscates is conservative.
An no, no political pundit can redeem themselves for selling out their rationality in favor of blind political ideology. None. None that I have seen at least. They make large sums of money doing this too.
Careful groverat, I'll sick some Aggies on your tail.
And pscates too, I know some UCSD rocket science chicks, and I'll send them to convert you from your artist-conservative ways. Bwahaha... bwahaha... BWAHAHAHAHA!
On this crazy Starship Enterprise, THT is our Spock.
Big ears, only gets laid every 7 (?) years or so...
I suppose you're right about me being right-of-the-center, but you'd never know it from the way people react to me around here. Try telling NoahJ or pscates I'm a closet Republican.

I "take my lumps" better than most around here.
Sorry if that's offensive to some of you. It's just what I believe and how I see things.
Again, those of you who are the other way, I don't pursue around, bugging them about it do I?

Not such a terrible job, in my book.

There are countless passages devoted to Ann Coulter's drunken escapades and rampant fag-hagism.
It's fvcking hilarious.

Yes, but still quite a helluva guy and an all-around swell fella, despite that horrific bit of info. Just ask around!
