I don't buy the idea that allergies are prevented by exposure. First, allergies are caused by exposure - when the pollen (or whatever) contacts the body, the immune system remembers it, thus causing allergic reactions at a later time.
Second, it's when chilren are exposed to substances that they develop allergies to them - children exposed to large quantities of nuts, or pollen, or some other potential antigen, that the immune system starts to respond to it. If you're not exposed as a child, you're less likely to develop an allergy to it.
Third, chemicals don't suppress the immune system. Of course, everything is chemicals. And allergies aren't a result of suppressed immunity, they're a result of over-active immunity.

For exposure Maelson is right, it's scientifically proven that people coming from farm and subject to a wide variety of allergen are less allergic that people of the towns. The pollution of the air is an another factor.
For eczema it has been prooven that the more clean the mother try to get his child the more eczema he have. Trying to remove all the bacteria around us has reverse effects and may leads to back side effects.
Being clean is good , but being the cleanest is not.
your other scientifical explanation about allergia are right. But i would like to precise a scientifical point about immunoglobulins :
we have severals type of immunoglobulins a,g,e, m. IgA are immunoglobulins present in our mucosae secretions : nose, bowels ..; IgM are made during the first exposure to an antigen, during the second contact the immune system will rather produce IgG (which are more active). IgE are a special type of immunoglobuline that is responsible of allergia, the goal of IgE are not to make allergia (the immun system is not corrupt) but to protect us agains parasitis agression. The IgE involved at the contact of allergen (an antigen that has the property to induce the production of IgE) produce an histaminic liberation of the Basophilic polynuclear ( a variety of white globuls). Histamine have various inflammation effects explaining the symptoms of allergy. Many medications are antihistaminic, that prevent the degranulation of the Basophilic polynuclear, corticoids work directly on the inflammation. Immunotherapy works upon the stimulation of the production of IgG, there is a competition between IgG and IgE, if there is a large amount of IgG they will catch all the allergen before the IgE thys preventing the negative effects of the later.
I expect that i did not annoy you too much with my medical stuff
