That it is not portable will likely kill this service for many. Having the music at home on the computer or on discs isn't the issue. And there is a myriad of services like pandora, grooveshark or even itunes radio for home also.
It is taking your collection out with you in total despite having a 50 gb music collection but only a 16 gb device. That was the beauty of LaLa and hopefully Apple will bring it back at least in terms of your itunes purchases.

With data caps being implemented everywhere, a streaming music service is nothing people would be interested in unless it's free.
