True, Smith's show was hyped more because - at the time - the Osbourne show was new and original (well, to some degree...call it "The Real World", only with famous housemembers). The Ozzy thing kinda started small and quiet and built up.

But the Anna thing is a blatant, half-ass attempt to climb onto that gravy train. What's funny is that the promos made me sick! They make me NOT want to watch, because she's so unlikable and, as the 'rat said, has no redeeming qualities.

What REALLY scares me is imagining what's going to be unleashed on us a year from now? How low and bad is this whole trend going to sink? I'm having a hard time imagining anyone less worthy of prime-time TV than Anna Nicole Smith, but I'm sure Hollywood won't let us down.

You know who I feel sorry for? Anna's son. He seems like a nice kid, a bit befuddled (and even a tad ashamed) by all this. I bet you a gazillion dollars he had NO voice in this enterprise whatsoever. As a matter of fact, I bet he even went "you know, I really don't think I want to be in this...".

Who could blame him? Hell, even he probably knows what a lamer his mom is!

I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall during THAT conversation. I picture it being Anna and that idiot lawyer of hers (what a dirtbag) both verbally ganging up on the kid and telling him "why he should participate in this groundbreaking television venture...".

The other fallout of this? The idiot (Anna Nicole) is now going to garner a bit of clout and will start appearing more on TV, being interviewed, having profiles done on her, showing up at award shows and premieres, being in magazines, etc.

The poor twit is actually going to start thinking she matters or has something to offer.

What WOULD be funny, however, is if she started a trend AWAY from the anorexic waif look so many teens girls seem to strive for, and a year from now you see all these chubby teens with nasty blonde hair shuffling around, slurring their speech and trying to out-stupid each other.

i don't really watch VIP but when i do, it's kinda hilarious, it's not supposed to be serious and i think they know that

Anna Nicole Smith is sad. i wonder how the rating will be this wek? she's so irritating. i did read that she watced her first episode and she did say that she did sound stoned, but she claims she was just trying to sound Southern
