niner suck balls.

go cowboys. yes i know they suck balls too. but hey, if they would keep quincy carter off the field, they might actually be good this year. if they do suck again this year, it won't be because of there defense.

[quote]You have to be from his area or have ties with his college to call Sage Rosenfels your man.

Or have a thing for Ron Howard!

Yeah, Sage is one of the best athletes in Iowa High School history, and (IMO) the best Cyclone QB ever.

Plus, he seems like a pretty cool guy.

    Jeff

Edit-Seneca Wallace may replace him in the hallowed lore (ha!) of ISU signal callers, though.

It's really been a fun few years to be a Cyclone fan!

October 26th won't be so fun for you.

Jeez, you guys have a tough stretch:

    October 5 No. 8 Nebraska

    October 12 Texas Tech

October 19 at No. 3 Oklahoma

October 26 at No. 2 Texas

    November 2 Missouri

    November 9 at Kansas State

November 16 at No. 6 Colorado

I think OU might seriously give a title shot this year, your schedule is cream-puff!

    August 30 at Tulsa Win

September 7 Alabama Likely win, I predict loss

    September 14 UTEP Win

    September 28 South Florida Win

    October 5 at Missouri Win

October 12 at No. 2 Texas Loss

    October 19 Iowa State Win

November 2 No. 6 Colorado Win

November 9 at Texas A&M Win

    November 16 at Baylor Win

    November 23 Texas Tech Win

November 30 at Oklahoma State Win

Should be 10-2 without breaking a sweat!

That's why I don't like college football. Good teams should not be allowed to schedule more than one cream puff per season. Not every team is going to be top ten material but it's ridiculous the way good teams dodge other good teams and schedule little pansy-fvck schools on their schedule.

As much as I dislike Florida State you have to give them credit in that they always schedule Florida and Miami every year - intentionally. That would be suicide for most programs (including Florida and Miami!).

Until there's a playoff system, college football is a joke IMO. Fun to watch but doesn't mean much in terms of determining who is actually the best.

you mean we got your schedule from last year? alabama will be our first real test for the season but i don't think they will give us much problems. but hey, you never know. gee, i wonder why you picked texas? good game, no doubt about it, but i'll take a great defense over a great offense any day. and sims hasn't proved he can deliver against a defense like ours.

Things in the NFL I'm looking forward to this season:

    1. Now that my beloved Bucs have a new head coach, maybe this year we'll finally have a decent offense to go with our smothering defense. In a fairly easy division, I like our chances. But I'd still like our chances in the former NFC Central, too. Regardless, I'm looking forward to Favre being buried under Sapp a few times when we meet again this season.

    2. The Seahawks' new stadium and new unis. Both look pretty cool. And it's nice to see Dilfer come into his own after so many years of horrible play. He's a good guy and deserves all the success he gets. Too bad he couldn't cut it in Tampa Bay.

    3. The Tony Dungy-led Colts. I was a huge Dungy supporter when he was in Tampa Bay, but it was time for him to go. Regardless, I hope he turns that team around. He, too, is a good guy, and it would excite me no more than for the Bucs and Colts to meet in the Super Bowl this year.

    4. TV football games with less intrusive graphics. Dunno if that will ever happen, but sometimes I feel I'm watching a chyron program with a little football thrown in. The barrage of visual information sometimes gets a bit annoying.

Yeah, it's our turn to face the heavies of the South Division, not to mention Florida State to start out!

That's life in the best football conference in the country!

I'm playing NCAA 2003 on my PS2 right now, it rocks! When you boot up the first time it asks your favorite team, after that all the music and stuff is customized to them. You get to keep your trophies (Heisman, "Old Oaken Bucket, etc) in a "trophy room," too!

    I love EA Sports!

Well, we've got a pretty good defense ourselves. #1 ranked in the nation in 2001 actually.

And UT's schedule was fairly lame last year, we had a few teams schedule that were good at the time we scheduled them but went to crap recently. But Simms seems to dominate teams we're supposed to beat.

And of course I pick my Longhorns to win!

No way Gandalf... Da Bears and those bastards from Green Bay are going to own the Central. Pick another division, bub.

Hrmph. I am moving to DC to face this:

Steve Spurrier (the devil), formerly the coach of my favorite college team's (FSU) nemesis (UF), now coaches a team, the Redskins, who beat my favorite pro-team, the Dolphins in the Superbowl (hate them now for all eternity) and NOW they decide to MOCK my favorite college team by adopting their uniforms!!!! ARGHGHGHGHG!!

Well, I guess its not so bad, especially since Ricky Williams and the 'phin's better offense and crippling D will run to the Superbowl over all comers. Oh, and Chris Rix and the Seminoles will defeat UMiami for the National Championship.

Did I mention that the Red Sox are going to beat the Braves in the World Series in 5 games?

Ah, yes, the upcoming NFL season! Frickin' Sweet!

Being a diehard Seahawks fan, I'm looking forward to the new division, new stadium, new uni's, new starting QB, new starting RB and new starting TE. That said, I see them finishing 9-7, which may or may not be good enough to take second in the NFC West over the Niners. The #1 problem being the corners. If Shawn Springs is healthy, they'll be all right... if not then the Niners and Rams will throw by 'em all day long. The #2 problem being the O-Line... if they can't protect, Dilfer has no chance.

I can't wait to see how Spurrier, Dungy and Gruden do in their new surroundings. How will the Texans do as a fairly hyped expansion team? How will the Pats do at defending their crown? Will the Rams be as dominate as they look? Lot's of questions... only time will tell.
