I have decided to make ALL characters in 3D starting the next episode
Leonis will not be in the next episode so that I now have to put him aside and concentrate on the girl (Priscilla) instead since she's the "star" in this episode
wow, that is so cool. how long does it take you to make each character? man, if i had some more time i'd like to learn how to do this. really good shit...

great characters, both of them, btw.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Honestly I can't really tell you how much time I exactly spent on them. This is part of my learning process and I fooled around A LOT. Once I get on a stage I realize I make a big mistake and I have to start over again.....this happened many times.....
How do you plan on positioning the hair with the girl when she moves her head? It is actually going to be animated, or will it be a series of still shots like you have done with the other chapters?
If the latter, I can imagine it wouldn't be too much trouble (well, not *as* much work). In the former, though, you'd have to make a huge number of point-level key frames for each strand. Is that what you're going to do, or do you have some other tricks up your sleeve? Is there some way you could use the inverse kinematics bones to move the hair?

Hair will be moving with the head. I know it's going to be a lot of work but I have to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Episode X, XI and XII will be marked as the first truly animated series because this is the first turning point of the entire story I have to be very serious about this. In the past those 2D characters really were holding me back big time. Now if I can break this barrier I can go for something "cool"
I can actually put bones on each hair strip or use deformer on some "hidden" ones.....you don't really have to go for the point level animation....this will be real pain.
You sound like a Star Wars producer <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
EDIT: Oh yeah, those heads are awesome, if i could do stuff like THAT, i could be in good shape <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
Id suggest that at the ends of your bones you add a target expression, and outside character bone heirarchy, but still within the priscilla model, you add some target nulls which you can move around to control the hair. If you set up your bones with randomish damping, you could control say 10 strands with one target null and they will all move roughly the same, but with subtle variation.

I just put a screen cap of stage 5. Now they are "feature frozen". That means I will not put any more things on them but will do changes only to the existing "features"
Will move on to the next thing shortly (costume will be first)
But can't directly put the pics here because of some silly reason <img src="graemlins/embarrassed.gif" border="0" alt="[Embarrassed]" />

Very interesting. I like where this is going.
