They don't have to. MS got Nokia by you know what. Why buy them and take financial risk while they have complete control. This way if Nokia goes under MS is safe.

Don't be deceived. You are just a brain in a jar being injected with bursts of energy (thoughts about external beings) by a supernatural entity. All you can be sure of is that you think, therefore you are.

No, like usual you are ignoring the facts and sprouting bollocks again.

Apple cannot make a phone with using technologies developed by several companies, one of which is Nokia.

Although apparently they can deploy that technology without violating any patents.

AFAIR, Nokia claimed 10 patent infringements at ITC. Anyone knows what happened with the other five?

How could Nokia claim that Apple had taken patens from them for their latest devices? Nokia has yet to match the original iPhone almost four years after the fact, and I'm not just saying that. It even made it to the 6o'clock news.

While true, success in building and selling a complete product has no bearing on the potential IP theft.

It was actually meant as a jab at how Nokia couldn't possibly have IP over technology they have no idea about, since its way past what they have. But I forgot to add "lol" to the end to emphasise sarcasm.

Except they have been building phones for how long now? Or are you making a comment over something you have no idea about?

There is this new invention called a joke. I was making a joke. Nokia has crappy tech, Apple has good tech. Apple couldn't possibly have any of Nokia's crappy tech in their phones wouldn't be so good. Do you get the "jab at Nokia" bit now?

Not really, can you please explain what you are trying to say?

Regardless of the fact, that Nokia was wrong from the beginning.

US judges, even more so than those of other countries, tend to rule in favor of US companies.

It's time for a new global (yeah, that's impossible) patent system, else this won't stop at all.

I'm doubtful you'll understand it as you haven't so far.

What I understand is, you tried to make a joke, and failed brilliantly, does that it sum it up?
