    HUGE difference.

I'm not saying Mac OS X is bug free but considering the lengths Apple goes through to get beta testing done by giving the product to real world developers it is actually more than Microsoft has done. Yes they provide betas but their betas are more like alphas and are thus far from what people will be using in the real world.

Also what the hell are you talking about contextual menus in System Preferences? When has System Preferences ever had contextual menus? Why would you even need contextual menus in System Preferences?

All OS have bugs, there is no perfect software.

Speaking of bugs, I've still found that the contextual menus in System Preferences do nothing. This was reported in the previous build and still hasn't been fixed yet. Other bugs that still persist are the vectored cursors and videos not working properly in iTunes (although the latter was noted in the seed notes.)

I have to agree with both of you on this one. Vista was rather buggy and MS has a attendance to release some of buggiest software. That being said there is no such thing as bug free software. Humans write the code for the software and it is nearly impossible to think of every possible scenario during development. That is why patch releases, security releases and so one happen later.

I would like to point out that for the most part Apple is pretty much on top of things when it comes to patching the bugs. In addition Microsoft releases patches on a regular basis as well.

Er, which? I've had zero trouble?

When will Safari get the ability to drag images out of a webpage again, for frick's sake?! Now we just get a useless .webloc file.

Depends on the site. I've found it won't highlight on certain message boards at all, while other sites work fine.

Also, this build has fixed dragging images. I just dragged all the images on this page to the Desktop with no problems.

You don't have to do this in Vista either, what are you trying to say?

But you do need service packs for OSX, what do people think these OS updates are?

Do you? I don't get many update requests at all on VIsta Ultimate.

No, it is a pity that people have an issue understanding that OSX is release with bugs in it.

    Spaces are Spaces.

In Mission Control it says Desktop 1, Desktop 2 and so on, when it's the actual Desktop it contains.

Other spaces might have full screen apps and Dashboard.

I think it makes sense just as Wi-Fi is much better than AirPort, since not every Mac user is connected to an AirPort base station.

AirPort is the hardware product name and Wi-Fi is the name of the technology.

The report on many new voices for Lion is the most exciting news I've heard so far! High quality voices the likes of Alex are very expensive to buy and it's easy to forget that many countries don't get a high quality or even any voice at all in their language with OS X. I just hope they don't make the Australian English voice sound too ocker (that's broad Australian pronounciation like Steve Irwin...cringes!).

From Wikipedia: "The term "ocker" is used both as a noun and adjective for an Australian who speaks and acts in an uncultured manner, using a broad Australian accent."

This is not the correct forum for such support.

Erase Lion, reinstall Snow Leopard, wait for the final release like a normal consumer.
