What could we agree on?

Just reading through various AppleOutsider threads (and remembering the Fireside Chat days) got me to thinking: is there anything at all that all of us here at AppleInsider could get behind, agree on or be on the same side of?

I've been thinking and I don't believe it's possible. Not with this bunch!

Sure, the old standbys of politics, religion, world events, etc. traditionally are the big polarizing issues. That's expected and old hat at this point.

But I can't even - especially after last night immersion in the "fast food made me fat" thread - imagine something small that at least one person here (and possibly more) would, in some way, be opposed to, find offensive, think is lame, etc.

I'm on a mission now, dammit!

Here, I'll start simple:

Ferris wheels are fun.

Does ANYONE have a problem with that? Are we all in agreement on this?

I'm just trying to see if it can be done. Wish me luck!

Obviously we all agree on using AI.

The most unique Forum link that I visit.

PS The Paris Ferris Wheel was a pretty cool ride.

PPS The best Roller Coaster rides to date was last summer at Cedar Point Park.

A pre-emptive strike, based on months of recon analysis:

"Ferris wheels are employed by evil corporations to take the money from poor carnival goers (who are also gorging themselves on fatty corndogs and cotton candy) who are then STRAPPED IN to a device (built in a Republican-controlled state, no doubt) that induces fear - and often nausea - into the person riding said device. No, Ferris wheels are in fact immoral and evil by their very nature. I believe it was Vladimir Potrovskely - writing in Belgium in 1423 - who spoke of the inherent evils of..."

    SMACK!

I think the closest we have ever been is the attitude toward Frans battle with Apple Care.

Yeah, but you just know what a bunch of fruitcake, tree-hugging, Mother Jones-reading socialists those bumper car riders are! I'd keep an eye on them too.

Not so fast there, Sparky. This is still a young thread. $10 says BR has something to say about that.

Holy smokes, Fran...I just read your thread in General Discussion. You're handling it a lot better than I would, that's for sure.

Good luck. That's amazing so many miscues and ball-droppings.

Do you feel cursed at this point? Seriously?

Hold on! Wait just one minute... What are your definitions of "English", "letter", and "three"?

Ah... or maybe it was they knew "Paris Bueller's Day Off" would be a real stupid name for a hit 1980's movie?

Actually an American G.W. Gale Ferris built the first "Wheel" in an attempt to make a more impressive structure than the Eiffel Tower for one of the Worlds Fairs.

So of course the French would drop the Ferris

Disagreement is fun. If everyone agreed we'd be like... Japanese or something.
