If it's a private conversation, PMs are quite useful. By the way, I really do want to know if there are some witch burnings going down this week. I also really want to know why the hell I wasn't invited. I mean, I have this sign that says SHE'S A WITCH on one side and MAY WE BURN HER? on the other that I made a year ago and I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I was tired of my lady, we'd been together too long.

Like a worn-out recording, of a favorite song.

So while she lay there sleeping, I read the paper in bed.

And in the personals column, there was this letter I read:

"If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.

If you're not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain.

If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.

I'm the lady you've looked for, write to me, and escape."

I didn't think about my lady, I know that sounds kind of mean.

But me and my old lady, had fallen into the same old dull routine.

So I wrote to the paper, took out a personal ad.

    ...

    What's the C3 all about?

Oh please. If it was about anything else (Macs, politics, Iraq, fast food (haha), hot celebrities, etc.), nobody would have a problem with the conversational tone and would request the two main participants to "take it somewhere else".

"Ooo, two Christians talking...I WON'T STAND FOR IT!"

BR, you're an idiot. An ill-mannered, gratuitously abrasive one at that. You actually took time out of your day to come into a thread that you knew had nothing to do with you and would offer nothing for you, just to be a dick and sling around some wise-ass, snide comments.

    Amazing.

I mean, I realize the idea of these two arranging to meet must keep you up nights, but come on...

I think that you're wrong . . . not only are you wrong, I am surprised that so few people have said anything and also that it took so long for anyone to say anything.

Usually all you have to do these days is say that someone's response was luke-warm and Grover jumps in with "hey now children . . "

But I guess anything to keep that persecuted/christian complex going, hunh pscates?!?

I forgive you for having a different sense of humor than I do. Wait a second, I'm Christ-like now because I forgave someone! Woo hoo! Now to complete the total package...

*whips out his power drill...attaches 1 inch drill bit...*

Ok, here goes nooooaoooooooooothign! HOISHS OUCH!@ THATH HURUSTZ LIKE HLLLLLL!

Well that was the problem. It was ONLY a conversation between two people. So they probably should have PMed, IMed, or Emailed each other, thus my helpful little tidbit about fellowship's email address I'm with Pfflam in saying that, no, the persecuted Christian complex shouldn't apply here.

What's really thick is the blood oozing from my new holes in my hands. Damn, that was a real bad idea.

    Greetings everyone,

After all that I was unable to locate OBJRA10  . I waited and looked for him but we were unable to meet. I hope his visit to the Church was a great one that will inspire him and his wife.

    Fellowship,

I'm very sorry we couldn't hook up. We awoke this morning at 6:45 to a telephone call informing us that my wife's father passed away last night. We spent most of the morning at the airport hoping to catch an earlier flight. We managed to get one at 1:45pm after waiting there for almost 5 hours.

Needless to say, it wasn't the end to our trip that we had hoped for.

We hope to be back down sometime in the future, and would love to hook up with you. It was a great conference, and we were completely impressed with everything.

Again, I apologize we were un able to connect with you, but it has not been a great day.
