Yes, it had lots of help. Being thrown, thumped, poked at and screamed at. It's left wing has been broken and improperly set.

As bad as it was abused, it's still cuddly and friendly. Now that my brother has it along with his other 10 cockatoos it is sprouting new feathers like weeds.

My wife wants it badly. I just hope our large cockatoo will take to the new arrival when he lets us come and get it.

Mars: That is so sweet. It made me want to cry for that poor bird. I have a couple of cockatiels at home and my friend has one too... my friend's cockatiel is really a bad mental case, even though they treat him really well... he pulls his feathers and he dislikes people. Maybe the previous owner has something to do with it.

Anyway, I'm glad it's now with a loving family. I just feel sad for all the birds and other animals that aren't so lucky.

That's it, I'm never listening to the "what about the animals?" people again: Just tell me that's not a bird that wants to be stewed, it even plucks itself!

Well fair's fair. There are places still in the world where

you would be considered a delicacy. They would stew you up and afterwards keep your head on a shelf as a momento. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

I have often wondered if poultry and 'toos could be genetically combined to make self plucking chickens.
