What's the point of this? We all know that there's going to be a war within a matter of weeks whether there is a 'smoking gun' or not.

Haven't we all realized this yet?

WE have agreed to engage with teh rest of the world by operating with a set of rules to guide our, and every other countries international behavior . . . its the closest thing to Law that we can have on that scale

We all know that Iraq breaks the 'Law' . . . but it is part of the agreement as to how just regulations and behaviors should take place that we do not 'punish' before we know that said 'law breaker' has in fact done so.

So, the "stupid liberals' as that moron Fellowship, has so pointedly stated, want to see the proof that is supposedly known . . . if Powell can dig up the truth . . . or if this Gaurd has the goods then the "smoking gun" is, in fact, real . .

then I think we must do what we must do

But still, I may not wear "Christianity" all over my sleeve and pretend to be such a good person that it hurts like the pretentious and bullsiiting posing of some so called "Christians" here . . . but I would still not hope for war . . and would rather there be something like a coup of like minded body gaurds or etc . . .

This fair-weather "goody two shoes" exhibited by the so called "Christians" reminds me of a phenomena in ancient Arab culture:

its called Mu'uquarra and its competition with other people by doing self harm: literally it means "competing by cutting the feet of your own camels"

there is something similar about the whole "I am a Christian: so peaceful and humble too" self-deceiving attitude

Wrong. The First Amendment is never moderated by the UN. God forbid.

Yup. Freedom comes at some expense.

Can they be trusted? Aren't there offices bugged? Let's not get anyone killed because the UN can't keep a source safe!

It would put an interesting spin on the situation if there was a coup in Iraq and images of Saddam being dragged in the street by Iraqis were plastered all over media outlets. I saw an intersting documentary on the History channel about Saddam and the Baath party, and something tells me that this is not an unlikely scenario.

Let's hope this is in the air . . . and pictures of his son, Uday, alongside of him would gratify my pagan blood lust too

BR's just pissed that a smoking gun may have been found. He'd rather France and Germany hide this information away from the rest of US. God bless the media.

I'm happy with the ideal of the free press, but if God were to bless it I think we'd all be in trouble.

I believe Brit Hume mentioned this during the "Grapevine" segment of his show yesterday. I'm hedging a little here because I was only half listening at the time. I had the news on while I was doing other stuff.

This would be big news if true. I don't see anything about it on CNN.

Just because Big Media hasn't picked it up doesn't mean it's not true. All that means is that Big Media hasn't picked it up.

I think it's true. It seems right anyway. I give it an 80% chance.

I think a part of why Big Media hasn't run with it is because they don't want to steal the spotlight from Colin Powell's speech today. The administration has been taking a beating from within and without and this is supposed to be a big middle-finger to the critics. Kind of hard to do that effectively if Sharon does it for you.

I'm not disagreeing, but why would they care? If the news is doing that for the administration, then fair media has truly been lost.
