Work was slow, so the day dragged something fierce. I spent my lunch at the computer store... again. Purchasing an iBook very soon.
Did get a "good news" email today: My financial aid papers came back today! School for me in March! I can't wait. Just need to get the loans squared away.
Tonight: Remixing our band's latest album. My PC is having major troubles (why oh why did I go PC to begin with?) so I'm going over to my friend's house to do it right.
Last night I installed some themes on my computer to get rid of the lines in the menu bar etc... I did that, then none of my applications would start. So, I logged out... then nothing but flashing colors of blue. So, I restarted: same thing. Then I went to bed. Once I woke up this morning, I started the clean install. First, I hooked my PowerBook up to the iMac and put the TiBook into FW Disk mode, and I put all of my music and files on the iMac. Once I did that, I did a clean install finally saying good bye to OS9, and I was off. Now what I'm doing is fixing everything to back it was. Man, what a crappy way to spend my day! Happy Valentines Day btw...!
I didn't do a whole lot at work, then left early because I had some comp time to work off.
And then I went to the DMV to register my new car. While there, I had to wait for about 30 minutes for my number, so I listened to my iPod! I felt kind of cool sitting, waiting, grooving to tunes. Everybody else had to just sit...and wait. I also saw an old friend of mine from high school, and we caught up on things until my number was called.
After that, I refunded some tickets at the movie theater, since -- to make a long story short, my Valentine backed out of our tentative plans. Oh well.
So it's a shrimp dinner with my parents. Happy Singles Awareness Day to me.
My day yesterday and today were bad. I mean like really bad. I was in bed for most of the time. I didn't even have time to actually raise my post count.
I saw Pearl Jam and Johnny Marr and the Healers last night in Adelaide which is a 4 hour drive from my home town.... Anyway, Drove up yesterday (4 hours).... saw the concert (4 hours) got back in the car and drove back home (4 hours). Got home at 5am this morning, had some toast and a shower and went to work at 6am...... one hell of a day to see one of the greatest bands in the world.........

Terriably bored. Got home from chruch today, played warcraft III. Tried to play the Carbon-ized Diablo II, crashes every 5 minutes . Yeah well, finished Learning Cocoa. Trying to think of an App to write and put this stuff to good use. EMAIL ME WITH IDEAS . mkLinux on the old performa 6300 is pi$$ing me off, dod gamn LC-comm ethernet card. Homework should be done, oh well. THE BLIZZARD IS HERE! <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" />
The baby went off before the alarm, which is set for 5 am. He doesn?t actually cry; he just sucks his thumb REALLY LOUD. And since he is less than five feet away, that is all it takes. I pick him up and take him back into bed to nurse him. When I get up again, I notice that my arm is wet. Yes, the diaper has leaked. My day has begun. The baby is changed without incident. (You really have to watch those multi-directional peeing units boys come equipped with.) I trudge off to the kitchen to make the coffee, but the cat has left me a present. I guess it could be worse. After all, this particular present is of the hairball variety. I clean up my foot and the floor and continue on my quest for coffee. I am beginning to worry about how this day is going to continue, but the coffee is brewed without incident, which is a relief. I have been known to forget minor details like water when in my pre-caffeinated state. I sit down at my desk to drink my coffee and read my email, but before I can get more than a couple of sips, the two-year-old begins to cry. Caring mother that I am, I immediately investigate. He is incoherent although definitely distressed. Getting a two-year-old to barf into the potty is more a matter of luck than anything else. Aiming is purely coincidental. At least he feels better now.
I am in outfit number three and it isn?t even 8 am yet.
Need I say more? College is nothing (been there, done that). Life doesn?t begin until you have kids.
I gotta go outside in zero degree wind-chills with a shovel and fling my dog's frozen turds into the ajoining field, and then I gotta scrape some burnt stuff off a pan (scorched cherry pie goo), but other than that life will be good today. Possibly even semi-productive if I get off the damn web and do some work!

well, my day wasn't that bad. Have seen my father and my sister today; haven't seen them for half a year.
I'm happy now.
