    By the way, Apple, I hate that nonsense. Maybe I'd like to know at a glance which applications are open and which aren't. I even replaced your indicator with one that is so subtle, the eye isn't ever drawn to it, but you can tell at a glance exactly what is open and what isn't when you DO look for it. It's the perfect middle ground.

    I hear ya. I have no problem with iOS app management and saved state and have gotten used to the new trackpad set for "scroll with finger direction," but I don't see myself removing the open app indicator lights. This has been an option in Dock preferences since the start so they have to know that current Mac users are likely going to be a hard sell.
