i forgot about some of the scenes from jackie's "legend of drunken master." i agree that some of those scenes were amazing (the fight UNDER the train car with the spear was just wicked-weird). though the 2 vs. 100 hatchet-weilding gang members was a bit much for my tastes.
believe it or not, i am also very fond of the final fight scene in universal soldier (lundgren vs. van damme). sure, the rest of the movie was lacking, but damn they set it up well.
finally, the T100 vs. the T1000 from T2: Judgement Day was amazing at the time ('93?)

Legend of Drunken Master does have some really cool fight scenes. The scene with the hatchet gang is one of my favorite. This movie gets my vote. It's crazy.
Fight Club: when the owner of the bar comes down and kicks tyler's ass for a while, then tyler bleeds in his mouth... That was just disturbing. Perfect for the movie....

edward norton fighting himself in his boss' office...
The Priest kicking zombie arse in Dead Alive gets my vote. It's so overdone that tis simply hilarious. Kicking a guy's legs out (literally) from under him..bwahaha.
The fight scenes in Brotherhood of the Wolf were beautifully done, too.
Roddy Piper and Keith David in "They Live" - a John Carpenter flick. Has to be one of the longest (and most realistic IMHO) fight scene ever made.

DAMMIT! I walked in here JUST to post that! I think we're the only two people on the planet that saw that movie...
The fight scene just goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and it's just *insane*, and on, and on, and on...

"I kick ass... for the LORD!"
Yeah, classic.
The lawnmower fu gets a nod from me as well. And let's not forget the Garden Gnome Head Zombie... comedy genius.

I was as real as Roddy and Keith wanted it. One of the best fight scenes ever caught on film.
Also, check out Jackie Chan and Benny Urquidez in "Wheels On Meals". Same thing. No holds barred.
1. Enter the Dragon - All the fight scenes.
2. Drunken Master II - Final fight scene. Jackie Chan and Ken Lo(?).
And when it finally looks like it is over.. it continues on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on...
For those of you you haven't seen it, pick it up, the ending is a classic ("What's wrong baby?"). My favorite line from the movie is still, "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum."
IIRC, the fight clocks in at just under 10 minutes.
Yup, 10 minutes of two guys just punching the crap outta each other. No wire fu, no special effects, just two great big muscle bundles wailing on each other with fists, boards, rocks, whatever is on hand. And it looks like it should end half a dozen times, but it just keeps... going... it goes past absurd into hilarious at about minute 5.
Maybe not the best, but certainly spectacular...Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Braveheart probably has the best battle sequence (George Lucas can kiss my ass on that one). And I would have to agree that Band of Brothers has one of the best-modern war scenes (maybe even better than Gettysburg and Saving Private Ryan)
Best fight scene is probably in snatch whenever brad pit boxes. Also I think it was the first lethal weapon where gibson fights that one dude int he rain.

3. Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon - Michelle Yeoh & Zhang Ziyi...great "cat" fight.
Lots more...one other mention:
David Carradine's knife fight with the indian in The Long Riders was great too. One of the best western films ever too...
