The Simpsons.
Well, the show many of us love just did its 300th episode tonight. I was reading this article about the best 25 episodes (and the worst one) and was wondering what others thought. I'm terrible at remember particular episodes, so I'll abstain, but I want to hear what others think.
Have at it!

Oh, wait, that wasn't the Simpsons.

It's from the creators of The Simpsons, though.
I don't know. Lisa misspelling a word? It's just not "Lisa." I mean, come on! I'm in college and never misspell anything.

Great episodes, both new and old. I tend to remember certain hilarious scenes, rather than whole episodes.
Funny foreign tidbit: In Sweden (where I worked for a while) TV executives thought cartoon=children's show, and stuck it in a children's slot until somebody paid closer attention to the content (Note: In Sweden, as is common in most European countries with small population, foreign TV shows are simply subtitled, rather than dubbed. Although most Swedes speak English very well - growing up un subtitled American TV shows certainly helps - it takes a very good grasp of the English language *and* American society to understand how cynical the Simpsons really are...

There's a shortage of Bort cups.
A tornado destroys (only) Ned's house the townsfolk build him a crappy new house and he's institutionalized, revealing the source of all the "diddly" stuff.
On of the best lines: Ned's beatnik parents talking to child psychologist (paraphrase): "We don't believe in punishment of any kind-free thinking, man. But you gotta help us with Ned, doc. We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!"

When the computer prompts him to press any key to continue, he freaks out because he can't find the "any" key!

But the color pallet they use is nauseating. I can only bear it for 30 minutes. Still they are an American classic.
The Simpsons are great (I remember their start waaaay back on the Tracy Ullman show).

Wow, it is hard to think of whole episodes on the spot. But the Halloween episodes always rule.
Oh yeah, and the episode that was like 27 short stories about Springfield.
"American tax dollars will go to our allies who fought so poorly and surrendered so readily"
"The bill was given to our richest and therefore most trustworthy citizen"
"So you say Baptiste (sp?) is gone. Did you know that?"
"Mr. Burns, I think we can trust the president of Cuba!"
Ahh, good times, good times.
