Made in France and other countries..
I thought in light of all the insults that can find themselves in this forum in regard to american or europe bashing I would open a thread of escape from the verbal bombing that is going on.
What if there were indeed a thread that focused on the good things of each of our countries? Wow could such a thread exist? I wondered. I open this thread as a venue for feedback of the things that you like about various countries across the globe. Sure include European countries as well as America or Japan? Any country goes. What products do you really enjoy from these countries? What cultural influences? Music? Art? TV? Movies? Food?
Let me get a nice start off to this venture into what we actually do like about other countries:

Would you believe it? Made in France is my T-FAL Omelet pan which is a wonderful piece of cookware. T-FAL is a brand of great quality and I would reccomend for all in need of cookware.
Up next:

Ahh Boddingtons Pub Ale from Manchester England one of my all time favorites.
Next we have Duvel Belgian Ale brewed by the Moortgat family brewery in Breendonk Belgium and may I say it is some of the worlds best.
Following that wonderful dreamy stuff we have something for your tongue to savor we have Edmond Fallot Moutarde de Dijon for us Americans that is simply Dijon Mustard. It is one of my favorites. It comes from Beaune France.
Moving right along we have Bonne Maman Wild Blueberry Preserves from Biars France which I love because it is not corn syrup this wonderful company uses as an ingredient after the fruit it is cane sugar. It is the best to be had. Perfect on toasted four corner french loaf bread.
Can you say salad or fish? Maille Vinaigre de vin de France from vin blanc (white wine) for us americans is wonderful white wine vinegar. This golden product is from none other than Dijon Cedex France.
Enough food, I love Sony of Japan I have spent a small fortune on Sony electronics. I love german cars. I do not have one at the moment but at age 16 I had a red VW GTI and I loved it! I like the art that Europe has given the world. I like the architecture just as much. How about the rest of you? What do you like from other countries?

The dijon mustard you've got seems superior to the current stuff that i have. I would check to try to buy some.
Concerning US : there is lot of things that i love. Shall we start by the number one stuff ?
well let's talk of Apple
US is the king in the computer aera, from the chip to the software.
From time to time i enjoy a good coke when the weather is hot.
Valhrona chocolate. Expensive as hell but addictive like crack
Le Creuset cookware. THE BEST.
USA:
Coke. Best cure against headache
Macs. A type of computers that use another operative system than Windows that just works better.
Coke. Best cure against headache

Some mistake surely......?
Columbia:
Coke. Best cure against headache
France: Just about everything.
Sweden: Hypothetical cellular mobile devices. Got to love 'em.

It's hard to imagine Western culture without France and Germany, apparently the two biggest enemies of the US right now, after Sodom.
Bach Beethoven Mozart Schubert Debussy Ravel Kant Leibniz Wittgenstein Nietzsche Hegel Schopenhauer Sartre Descartes Rousseau Voltaire Goethe Brecht Monet Matisse Einstein and on and on.

hey you forgot Lacan, Foucault and Derridas!!........heeheee
hey you forgot Lacan, Foucault and Derridas!!........heeheee
who are those three you forgot ?

ahem, there's a difference between "forgot" and "left out."
yes, i've been watching the travel channel show the worlds greatest engineering feats...
France gave us the Statue of Liberty!
oh sweet irony...
Germany: J.S. Bach, but not Chancellor Schröder
Italy: Fellini, but not the Maffia
Switzerland: Swiss Army Knife & Swatch, but not ... errr... can't think of anything
U.K.: the (very varied) media, but not public transport
U.S.A.: Bob Dylan, but not the implementation of the concept of fast food

Best Dry Sausauge Award: France.
Best Bread Award: France, for the traditional (sour, flour-y, crusty, odd-looking and slightly burnt) baguette.
