I just got a new Mini with the Toshiba drive and while it is true that the speeds I'm getting are consistent with what is being reported, I'd be curious to know if there might be a difference in reliability and lifespan. If the Toshiba can last longer, even just by a modest amount, the speed advantage of the Samsung will be more than offset.

Not saying this is the case but I'm curious to know it anyone knows what the reliability records are for these devices.

By the way the Western Digital 7200RPM drive that accompanies the Toshiba SSD on my machine is posting rather decent scores in the 130 MB/s range. Solid for a non-SSD and a huge leap forward compared to the 5400 RPM drive in my previous Mini (2009 vintage).
