NOTHING WRONG? NOTHING WRONG??? urge...to kill...rising...

You know, a smidgen of intellectual honesty would be nice from you every once in a blue moon. Give me a f**king break. Those questions were horribly loaded. If they were people, they would be so loaded they would die of alcohol poisoning. It's ridiculous.

Chill....you are sounding like me now.

Seriously, I can see that some of them are loaded. Before you lose your lunch though, consider this:

    1. The only important question, that being support for a war, was not loaded.

    2. There are plenty of other polls loaded the OTHER way (e.g. to the Left).

    3. Yes, I realize Fox leans conservative.

The poll itself was biased and any results that you like are simply fruit from the poisoned tree.

It could be an example in some fictitious Dystopian film by Terry Gilliam (Brazil filmmaker)

    or Kafka

almost funny, but then to think that it, and things like it, actually play a role in molding public opinion it isn't really funny anymore

by the way, please post examples of 'Lefty rhetoric biased polls SDW . . . I want to see how that makes it all OK . . . .

how the more than blatant twisting of 'objectivity' by this poll is somehow made OK by the likewise from the big bad bear Left

Interesting how some of you can post the most ridiculous things known to man, and nothing is said. When I post a poll from a major news organization you call it illegitmate.

They aren't a news organization. They are a ratings organization.

i just want to be absolutely clear:

are you, SDW, saying that there is no coercive questioning that steers the answers in an inordinant manner?,

where the statistics culminating from the answers would reveal an entirely differnet impression when removed from the restricted line of questioning?

are you actually saying that this poll: the one I'm about to quote, is not extraordinarily coercive and misleading?

[quote]16. Who do you think should make the final decision on security matters for the United States ?- the United Nations or the United States?

In the last few weeks, have you:

    17. Said a prayer for peace?

    18. Said a prayer for President Bush?

    21. Do you think anti-war protests are: An effective way to stop war, or Just a way to make the participants feel better?

    22. Who do you think is doing more to achieve real peace in Iraq ?- war protesters or soldiers?

    26. If the United Nations fails to enforce its resolutions that require Iraq to give up weapons of mass destruction, do you think the United Nations will have become irrelevant?

Are you or are you not a teacher?

Do you in any way teach a subject that involves critical thinking?

and/or that involves reading comprehension and decipherment of rhetoric?

Do you actually not see how the questions are coercive and lead to deliberate misrepresentation of data?

Call it blinders. Call it rose-colored glasses. Call it willingly ignorant. There is no way a sane person with the slightest bit of intellectual honesty cannot see that that poll is an utter joke.

You're kidding, right? FOX NEWS *leans* conservative? It just leans? Just a little bit?

FOX NEWS is the friggin' mouthpiece of RNC and the far right in the US.

The poll may have been geared to get the over all results Fox wanted to report. However, SDW is right, the important question was fair and non-leading. How is "Do you support or oppose U.S. military action to disarm Iraq and remove Iraqi President Saddam Hussein?" a leading question? It isn't conditional or slanted, it is just an open and hosnest question. The results of that one question are pretty telling.
