Google DeDRM and wipe those tears away. Quite useful AppleScript.

It's just repackaging and remarketing already-published product. Just like the Time Life collection of Greatest Mantovani Hits from the 60s you can listen to while reading these old articles.

Why is everyone being so childish about this? Did the nipple in your baby bottle get plugged or something?

Actually, Amazon is a fairly successful online book store...not sure if you knew that.

I think the real deal is that Steve is releasing his "approved" biography very soon...and Fortune is trying to "undercut" that release...why would apple even want this book on their storefront...they probably were asked prior

"Capitalize" is a better word than "undercut." The new Walter Isaacson book is logging enormous pre-publication sales, including the Kindle and iBook versions at $16.99. It'll be a huge nonfiction best-seller. Strategically, it could even bump up Apple's holiday season product sales.

Wow. If the roles were reversed and it was an iBooks exclusive on a Jeff Bezos' biography, many of you would be laughing at the irony and saying, "It's just business." And you'd be right.

It's just business. The author and publisher are entitled to the most revenue they can get for their work. The iBook store doesn't provide them SN opportunity to maximize their income. Hence, they're on Amazon. Simple as that.
