    ps2 can run linux, has standard usb and you can slap in broadband ethernet

    Actually the way it worked the last time is that when supplies of G4s were not going to meet demand Moto went to IBM and hired them to make extra G4s for Moto who sold them to Apple. IBM did not license Altivec, they did not have to they were making a chip for a customer. These chips were considered Moto's not IBM's, IBM makes lots of chips for lots of customers. Apple could buy Altivec and contract with IBM to add it to a chip that IBM makes. Or Apple could work with Moto to design a chip and have IBM manufacture it, which is what I think will happen IBM would and can manufacture any chip that is brought to them, and they do not have to license the technology. Sorry to go on like that but it seems that some people have made alot about Apple cannot design a chip when they can with help, and Book-e makes this easier Also IBM does not have to license Altivec to make chips for Apple but Apple has to license or buy Altivec or Apple has to go through Moto to use Altivec.

    ahem, btw another nice feture about gamecube is that it uses MINY discs and xbox uses full size yet gamecube games still kick xboxes *ss. I LOVE STARWARS ROGUE LEADER AND SUPER MONKEY BALL.
