You don't need to download on every machine. two possible solutions.
a) Get a proxy! This will cache most of the updates you do, so the second Mac can already benefit. It will speed up you general www access as well.
b) in Software Update you can actually SAVE the update packeages downloaded. Do a normal update, check the updates you want to install and let SU do it's magic. BEFORE you close the window, click in the line of the appropriate update you want to save and choose save... from the menu. This will let you select a place to store the packe in.
VoilÃ*!
I personally expect a new PowerMac lineup. I don't dare to predict any "G5" machines whatsoever. Whatever a "G5" PowerMac might be.
I guess a major Software update Roundup may compliment that as well. How about some iAudio app? That one is lacking from Apple's set of digital media applications.
My personal prayer is a Newton successor. There's so much technology at Apple, I hope they find a product to go with as well...
Because I really want something good to come out of MWNY (as last year's was a disaster, just ask Steve J), I'm not going to post "Da wish list" or side with JYD. I just hope for minimal disappointment in the Pro Line <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" /> .

Greetings from the monsterjaeger!
PowerMac DP 1.2GHz.
iMac 900Mhz
iBook 700Mhz (still G3)
Powerbook 733Mhz
We will all be disappointed.
Apple VP: "Well we just updated the entire product matrix back in January, so it's pretty stupid to think we're going to update it again so suddenly.
Jobs will debut 10.2 but it won't be ready until September.
He'll talk about more iBook sales to schools, and maybe some special Porn Nazi application to keep teens from downloading babe photos.
Everyone will be dissapointed, but they will all say everything is fine, Apple is fine, nothing to see here, move on...
