Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Tab 10.1N escape German injunctions
A German Munich Regional Court judge has decided against granting Apple injunctions on two Samsung products, noting that at least one of the patent challenges was likely to be revoked at trial.
The two products, Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone and its revised "10.1N" version of the Galaxy Tab (redesigned by Samsung to escape the original injunction on sales Apple won last September) will be available for sale in Germany while the case against them continues.

In the case of the new smartphone, Apple argued for an injunction on sales, according to a report by Wall Street Cheat Sheet, related to a "patent granted last year protecting some technology related to touch screens."
The report noted that Presiding Judge Andreas Mueller said in his ruling that “Samsung has show [sic] that it is more likely than not that the patent will be revoked because of technology that was already on the market before the intellectual property had been filed for protection.”
In the case of the revised 10.1N tablet, while Apple won an appeal of the original injunction yesterday in a Dusseldorf appeals court (keeping the ban intact on the original model), the Munich Regional Court did not extend the injunction on sales to cover the modified revision Samsung produced to work around the ban.
The Dusseldorf court is set to rule in a separate case Apple brought against the modified 10.1N on February 9.

it was a prelim. Samsung hasn't won the game. That won't be decided until the final available appeal by both sides is over.
Final Appeals? So basically after 3 generations later they could get a product banned? Doubt Samsung would still be selling that version

No doubt that Samsung will easily surpass Apple this year. With more wins like this, the inevitable domination of Android will happen!

Like a spoiled child, no doubt Apple will come rushing back with a new spurious patent infringement or two to put before the court.
I wonder if judges are allowed to roll their eyes in dismay?
Looking at the back of this one and the IPad 2, they look identical to the tablet they carried around in Star Trek: The Next Generation. So much for originality.

Slapppy annoys me more than Apple ][ somehow. Mainly because he is just full of misinformation and unsubstantiated BS.
I think he's a mock "Fandroid" account here...he is too unreasonable to be sincere (though unreasonability is hardly indicative of sincerity)
If the modifications to the Tab to "N" specs were both slight and significant, why didn't Samsung use the 'new' design to start with? And given the speed at which Samsung made this change, it seems to me as if they had been planning the 'N' model all along, knowing their original version would be contested by Apple.
Or that apples case is so stupid all they had to do was add a silver border and presto.
I mean seriously? rounded corner rectangle? Hope apple's TV isn't rectangular, thin, with an uncluttered front and shipping in a rectangular box....that will be a clear and blatant rip-off
