Apple will have less than 2% Mac marketshare in each of these countries by the end of the year.
I propose this becomes a color that represents slapppyisms. They're visible to those who want to take their time to read them and unreadable at a glance so that people can ignore the nonsense if they choose. For future reference, it's #C0FFEE.
Don't forget the Apple Stores themselves. Most people had never seen a Mac in person before those stores, much less used one.
How many other computer/electronics companies have a store where people come in to drool at their products. Where I live there's a Microsoft store right across from the Apple store. The Apple store is always packed, the Microsoft store is basically empty.
Good News! I have never been a fan of Microsoft products and Microsoft Products have always felt incomplete, buggy and unreliable (CHEAP) Mcrosoft Products are like a 3 wheel car, they are always unfinished. I have felt their run in the 90s was due to the expandability of PC's, with the soundcard and videocard revolution, combined with PC's corporate compatibility. People put up with BSOD's, viruses & crashes for those reasons. My first computer the ATARI 800 never crashed.
Now that USB/thunderbolt has taken over the VESA/PCI slot for most users, and the Web is sufficient for cross-platform communication, the general purpose PC's are now biting the dust.
General Purpose does not work for consumers. ASIC or real time OS's are what consumers now like.
Microsoft's future is servers where they dominate the Enterprise market. There is still big bucks there, and that is where General Purpose beige box M'soft products can shine. Tech heads can still tinker & change n/w cards with the PCI ports!

Honestly I find Windows 7 is a lot more polished than OS X Lion. It kills me to admit that Windows runs better on my iMac than the latest version of OS X. I still have several Macs running OS X Lion around the house, but they all suffer from the same occasional lockups and performance issues once you start multitasking several applications at once. I almost never had these problems on Leopard or Snow Leopard. But they happen every day when I'm using Lion.
Admittedly I don't have any current generation Mac here. My machines are all from mid-2009 to 2010. But the iMac is a core i5 with 12GB RAM. I think it should be able to handle running OS X with a pretty smooth experience.
I'm no longer convinced Apple is going to fix these problems in any future software update. I'm now pinning my hopes on Apple getting it right with the 10.8 release.
Michael Dell must be REALLY sorry he ever said that.
I'm also sorry that he ever said that, because it seems we have to keep hearing it over and over.
Yeah, I have to agree. Everytime there is an article with Dell in it, I am 100% sure someone will bring that up. You have to just roll your eyes and try not to flinch!

Ouch, it hurts just looking at it.

Oh, good. I've fully captured the experience of reading a slapppy comment.
Looks like this particular chart doesn't include Mac sales in overall "PC" sales. But it would be nice if the author indicated that. Just for clarity.
Ummm...how does it not include them? Certainly, the "units sold" columns include unit sales attributed to Apple...
...and I didn't even need a PC for that arithmetic!
