How stable is 5.1 now?
In relation to what, when it was released? It hasn't changed since its release. If you mean since the betas of it, there's no comparison. 5.1 has been rock solid, at least on my first gen iPad.
The article is great. I wanted to make one correction:
True, it was the fourth generation iPhone and the third generation iPad to get the Retina Display.
But, it only took three years for the iPhone and two years for the iPad to get the Retina Display.
(2010-2007=3 years / 2012-2010=2 years)
