Also, calling the script to a yet to be filmed movie "award worthy" is ludicrous. There are so many aspects to a movie that many times will not result in a good or great film, that it's not even funny.
Yes, that's Hollywood for ya. Presumptuous to the extreme.
Who knows. Maybe this will be a break out movie for Ashton. But I know that Hollywood has a way of twisting things into a perverted twist of the actual reality. Kinda like the movie of Fat man Little Boy. I recently watched that movie for the first time and was really disappointed in it as I felt it wasn't about the Bomb but about some political twist to discredit a nation in times when we were the victims. You don't stir the hornets nest without getting your ass kicked in the end.
Ok ok. I have talked too much. I feel that ashton looks enough like steve. But I really hope it doesn't hack the character he portrays. I hope the writer and director can produce an accurate role. If my post doesn't make sense I am sorry.
Please God, if you're out there, don't let this be a freakin' train wreck. Although, it will...It will be a sensationalized mess if Hollystupid has anything to do with it.

Maybe the award they were talking about is The Razzies.
When it comes to a biopic, you really want the actors to resemble the person. That's one reason why Noah Wyle did so well portraying Jobs. Same with Greg Kinnear and Barry pepper in The Kennedys.
As Kutcher said, he needs to work on the voice but I think he can make a decent movie out of this. I just hope the script doesn't follow the same lines as Isaacson's god awful biography.
I wonder if they'll do makeup for the later years, CGI or use another actor.
This goes to the heart of what makes a biographical pic work - the actor or the story?
For fanboyz, the story is so familiar that the actor has to, at least, not diminish it. If Kutcher can channel Jobs, that will supersede everything else.
For the general public, the story, if well done, will be compelling. Just look at Isaacson's book - very little truly new material, and yet it was wildly popular.
Too bad the movie doesn't sound like it goes far enough in time to include the Ballmer era. Guessing who will play Ballmer might be more fun. The actor who played Charles Winchester III has (had?) the right face but the wrong body type.

Though Ballmer with a Boston accent doesn't really fit.

I think David Giuntoli would be perfect for the role.
Honestly Meryl Streep had this in the bag.

Look at the Butterfly Effect - and remember that he has an extra decade of experience and maturity since then.
I agree, you could see a number of elements in the following clip mirror Jobs' life:

They couldn't be farther apart. Never mind the age discrepancies in those two photos.
They couldn't be farther apart? Exaggerate much?
He's a good Nikon camera spokesman?
Actually, in Two and a Half Men, he is a great Apple advocate. He Facetime's on his iPhone 4 and iMac, and he's always 'coding' on his MacBook Air.

He could have been blonde. That would have taken them farther apart.
Kutcher thinks Steve Jobs role was meant for him
Of course he would- this is too hard to believe?
Dude, where's my iPod?
BEST post of the day!!!
Steve must be rollin...
Shameful.....
How is he gonna fill Noah's shoes?.....
he should go back to smokin dope in the basement in wisconsin.
Rant over...
Without recapping my comments from the previous post on this.
Please, PLEASE, PLEASE! get someone else besides Kutcher.
It could be worse...say Keanu Reeves for example?
Or how about brangelina?
