New chips are ready, hence an update should be desired. No, certainly don't buy a new Mac Pro every single revision, but the current one is deserving of an update.

Well of course I agree. But I just don't understand all the battering (?) on the MP; if you need power, but it. Sure, tech evolves, what, every month or whatever, but gee, an update with every processor. I mean, really?

Glad you coughed though; that iWork is still in beta! And will remain in beta!

Yeah. Apple updates every computer every time a new processor comes out. So does everyone else in the industry. We just don't have to BUY them every time a new processor comes out.

To pick up what a previous poster said about a new iMac. My version would be "Oh Apple, please announce a new Mac Pro" (after 2 years it's about time and the hardware/CPU problem has gone away). Don't get me started...

Apple isn't about specs it's about the experience, why put new hardware in when the old ones are "just" fine. And in any case you think it's easy just sticking new hardware in a box?
