    Nope.

Customers were wise to Apple's overpriced memory configurations…

At the beginning of this decade. Not so much now.

It's a slimy move in my opinion.

    They're a company. Come on.

    This part was a no-brainer.

Agree. Especially if one considers that works out to about $5 a day. Then kick in getting family members gift cash at Christmas (2X's) and birthdays (2X's) to help cover the payments, will drop one's commitment to even less.

Heck, for some, passing by the Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts of the world, etc., for a couple of years would more than pay for much of, or even the whole thing.

    From Apple's website:

"Or add more memory to the 27-inch model yourself by popping open the easy-to-access memory panel on the back."

Yes, I'm aware you can remove the front panel on the 21.5" but that is not something most consumers are willing to tackle nor should they have to. And sure, Apple is in business to make money.  I work at a Fortune 50 company...I get it.  But I'm also responsible for balancing what we charge with the value we provide.  If we don't, our reputation takes a blow and we open ourselves up to bad press. Removing a basic feature that costs you nothing is usually not going to be looked on favorably by the customer.  If Apple is OK with that, and clearly they are, that's fine.  But they can't expect no one to notice.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised that Apple is charging $250 extra for 128GB of flash (the difference between a bare HD and a "fusion" drive).

SSDs typically retail for $1/GB so Apple is applying a 100% markup.

While the new lower glare screen is very appealing, I already have more than enough power in my 2011 iMac. As an added bonus mine has an SD slot that I can actually reach.

That SD slot on the back was a boneheaded decision.

I didn't know you couldn't easily install additional RAM on the 21". This is one area where Apple should be very competitive with other RAM providers or allow easy access so users can upgrade their RAM if they wish.

Just went to the Apple Store. No sign of the new iMacs. No sign of any iMacs for that matter. I guess they still have a few more hours to put them out before they miss their November deadline

I know what it says. We JUST got a teardown, and you can do it. You've admitted it yourself; why are you still fighting this?

    …that costs you nothing…

You know this? Sounds like the exact opposite to me.
