Totally unjustified and completely uninformed! This is especially the case when it is obvious that much of the landscape surrounding Israel is suffering from a collapse of social and governmental responsibility.
No offence, but you don't know what you're talking about and you haven't really made an argument anyway.
So don't buy anymore Apple products. They don't need your money. Apple doesn't make decisions based on what extremists might think.
As for me, I'm liking Apple even more now.
That's pretty hilarious calling me an extremist. Even if you agree with Israel's policies it's fairly undeniable that Israel's policies are extremist policies by definition (no other country actually agrees with them for example).
I made a mild criticism (mostly unstated) of an apartheid police state with a history of violence and human rights violations and yet I am an "extremist."
Says a country is 'nasty' to do business with, without any elaboration and you think that is acceptable, informed, useful, relevant comment? It's a ridiculous snide pointless and inflammatory comment.
Dude, if I "elaborated" on that first post I would simply be accused of spreading hate or worse. I tried (and tried again even with my responses) to keep it mild and general. I did that for a reason.
For the record: (and so you can all hate me more efficiently) my point was only that Israel is a horrible country with an awful record of human rights. It's far worse than China's record is for example and we all wring our hands over Apple doing business in China. I'm not into boycotts or any of that childish nonsense, but if Apple is seriously going to hook up in a major way with a Apartheid police state ... some people won't do business with them anymore.
Israel is a pretty nasty country to do business with. If they are going to start using Israeli manufacture for any significant portion of their product they definitely will lose some customers and a lot of public goodwill.
Israel is a bit of a dichotomy. Within Israel proper it is neither an Apartheid nor a police state. Both Arabs and Jews have equal voting rights, social security benefits, freedom of religion etc...(even if they don't like each other very much) The problem comes with the occupation of the Westbank and blockade of Gaza. Then I suppose 'police-state' would be more appropriate and is the crux of Israel's problem. As for Israeli's themselves, they are a people of diverse opinions, from right to left. I don't want to demonize or ostrasize a person or a people because of the country they come from. So I don't like it when tech-blogs become politicized, the advancement of technology belongs to all peoples including Israeli's who are actually very good at it. Shalom - Salaam!

No hate involved; you're simply and deliberately misinformed, and eager to spread your false knowledge to others. Being an apologist for Hamas and other terror-focussed organisations is a splendid way to bolster one's one's rep as an intellectual stub.
Why do some individuals insist on espousing stupidity as a life standard to be pursued?

After I read your post I was wondering the same thing.

Where else can you buy kosher chips? Besides the Arabs only buy basic cell phones to use as detonators.

Does this have anything to do with their businesses? Specifically the business of which Apple is a part?

If true... then yes... it does have something to do with Apple's business.

You know exactly what I'm talking about, but in case it was unclear to others, "Their" was a pronoun for Israel.

There's an app for that.
[ yes, you're right... my comment is insensitive. Apologies.]
