Umm, YES, and "perspective" does not account for distortion of an image. You are incorrect, and I will put money on it.
I believe Tallest Skil got it right (if not in execution, at least conceptually ) and, besides perspective, you also have to account for other optical distortions produced by the camera lens itself…
