Those are days when they write a featured story about Samsung's new innovative ironing board, which will tweet about the temperature of the steam used to press your shirts, and how Apple is falling behind in the ironing board market.
Everything that is related to Apple, even at the nth level, is a news here. Why can't AI post this? This is really a sweet news.
Agreed! Well said. I find so many of the comments here snide and snarky....I much prefer the positive comments.
Alas, perhaps I'm getting old! "Snarky" seems to be "in!"
I wasn't intending to be snarky in the least. I was simply stating what I felt.
Sorry if you were offended.
I just don't think that renaming a building and planting a tree to recognize such a towering figure -- and essentially, someone who took it from a $10M company to a $7,000+M company -- is all that big of a deal.
How about, instead, providing an annual donation of,say, iPads to 100 (1000? 10?) under-privileged kids in a poor school? How about, say, creating a park with a 1,000 trees where people can go relax, play, read, grab some fresh air? How about creating a free training center for artistically talented kids who can't afford art school? I could go on.... but you get the picture.
In my humble opinion, while the gestures mentioned in this article seem cute, they also seem trivial.
I bet one day Pixar will make a movie with the hero based on Steve Jobs' personality. Not a biopic about him, but more a portrait of who he was - charismatic, intense, motivating, abusive...
