Yeah, I love mine. 27 inches screen connected to it for gaming and programming (and Photoshop work), runs EvE and Deus Ex 3 without breaking a sweat (and Civilization IV and V, which do take a bit of power). Also runs Offspring Fling!, but I think anything runs Offspring Fling! :p

True, the Air has come a long way from being laughed at spec-wise at launch to being the benchmark by which all ultra books are measured.

And the visual style on which they all seem to imitate.

That's called a Thunderbolt Display. Also, on Apple's site it's presented as connected to a MacBook Air. Go figure.

My wish list is a quad-core, 16GB, Retina BTO MBA.  I love my 2011 MBA and in addition to OSX, I'm running one, sometimes (but rarely) two virtual machines and that extra memory and a dedicated CPU for it would be a godsend.

My MBA is such an awesome workhorse.  Best business-machine I've ever owned and am still in awe as to the amount of horsepower it has in such a small and light package.

That's my wish list.  Two of the three options and I may have to beg Apple to take my money.  :)

I'm hoping! Been waiting for the new Haswell rMBP 13" (and Haswell MacMini). I've missed having a laptop since my 17" MBP died, but I can wait.

I only need twice the "hard disk". Graphics are good enough for me, processor's amazingly fast, but I'm battling the 4GB free limit...

Yeah, my 4GB does get a little thin in the tooth but at least the fast SSD setup compensates when it has to use it as the paging file.  I hope they double the RAM.  The current 8GB the new model has is nice, but after bumping my iMac to 16GB to use all my VM's at the same time, it would be great.

Apple offers the MBA with a 512GB SSD.  That's quite a bit considering the size of the machine.  Are you wanting to use your MBA as a primary machine to hold everything?

Yep... wish lists.  Keeping the fingers crossed. :)

This new 11" MBA will most likely be the last "PC" I'll ever buy!

Latest gen. iPad Mini, latest gen iPhone, TC and a large screen AppleTV and I'm good to go. It's my minimalist approach to tech!

Throw in a pay as u go "all u can eat" cell plan...that is not AT&T, Verizon, or sprint. No cable company sucking me dry....and I'll be very happy!

I remember those days! :) I also remember Jason Snell's review of the first and despite all it's shortcomings at the time...the light weight made up for a lot. I think he said it was his go to device....that's before the iPad! :)

I suspect a lot of people will go this route. Tablets may not be efficient for some kinds of work over longer periods of time, but a lot of users would be just fine if storage increased a bit. I'm not as convinced as some others about the elusive Apple television, unless you meant the set top box. I do like the set top box with netflix + itunes rentals.

Yep, Hmm. I was talking about the new MBA short term (next few months or so) and the ATV ( 50" screen) down the road, a year or two....which should coincide with more "powerful" iPhones/iPads....able to supplant PC's altogether!

-all but for the "power" users! :)

Right now my iPhone 4s does about 90% of what I used to do on my MacBook...I actually stopped carrying it about. Just used iPhone while out and about and used iMac at home for any heavy lifting...

Sold the MacBook, sold my iPad2 (going to buy mini next!)

    Anyway, enjoyed ur comments! :)

How about one of those Sharp retina res screens for an upcoming MBA? I like the form factor, now it is time to up the resolution.

The processor bumps are evolutionary and expected though should drive an 11" or 13" Retina display more convincingly than Ivy Bridge. I'm more interested to see if 10.9 unleashes the GPGPU potential of even these integrated graphics at system level as opposed to being a luxury of high-end apps. I'd happily have an extra half-teraFLOP to crunch that gorgeous H.265 video. Engaging GPU cores may even make the dual-core vs quad-core CPU consideration largely redundant.

Yippee, what % of revenue do MACs generate again?  Is this refresh suddenly going to change that?  Lets hear about the new products and phones please.

Some people here are computer fans not shareholders.

But, but, but, then you couldn't boot it in Windows 8 and smear up the screen...!  image
